Well, found out tonight that I made it into a summer program in New York State this summer. I'll be there for half of June and most of July.

So, I fully intend to bring back a bunch of Duals. So you guys need to hold a Duel for Duals, or a Dual Land Draft, whatever, so I can come take them back to the West Coast.

I'll be 21 then, even, so after I take all your lands and Goyfs, we can go share a beer and laugh about your bad beats.

So, if I'm near Long Island, what kind of Magic is within a reasonable train/bus ride of there? Who from here lives out that direction?

The big question here being, of course, 'what size suitcase would Pinder fit into best'?

New York State, contrary to popular belief, is slightly larger than, say, one city. Where are you staying?

I'm an RPI Alum and I was just up there for Genericon last month... What's left there? The WotC store doesn't exist anymore at Crossgates, I bought out the remainder of Portal II at Aquilonia, Gamer's Guild has shut its doors, that Type 2 place in Schenectady with two initials as the name (forget at the moment) doesn't seem to exist anymore, Flights moved to Colonie...

The Dragon's Den in Yonkers also closed both locations. It's not a good time for brick and mortar Magic right now.

Menands?

How far to this mythical "Albany", where it is claimed that there are good east coast players? I know it must be mystical, because of the "good players" part, but I'm willing to take prizes from bad players too.

That depends on how you interpret the question. To the city of Albany, is probably three or four hours. To Albany where there are good players, well, you'll be traveling a long time, because it is, indeed, mystical.

Well.... you're only like six hours away from our local. Sounds like a deal. You can crash on my futon.

Every time I've swung by Neutral Ground in NYC, it's only Standard. I've never seen another Legacy player there.

Is there any actual gaming store IN Albany? I've never heard of one... I traveled between Clifton Park, Schenectady, and Watervliet in college. We played a good bit of casual Legacy at our gaming club at RPI on Saturdays.

=( What we lack in play skill we make up 10 fold in pure awesome sauce.

There is a store close to HVCC currently that alternates through T1 and Legacy. Turn out is not so hot but Watcher, P_R, myself, and sometimes Braves show up there.

This store you speak of, what is the name and address of it? I might actually start showing up if stuff is held saturdays.

LOL! Dragon's Den. I spent a summer working at the Central Ave. Location in Yonkers. This was like when Ice Age and Chronicles were the hot packs to buy.

Just so happens that today(friday) is legacy. The tournament(if we get enough people) starts at 6 or so and is $3 and all prize goes into store credit. If there isn't enough people we usually test a lot of match ups.

Nice job on knowing which day of the week the tourney is.

Listen here...in two weeks time(last time I was there) they apparently changed their dates. Legacy on Saturday is gonna get a worse turnout than it was getting but as far as a business move it is smart. It is gonna be hard to fit legacy in the middle of a Saturday for a lot of people.

It was nice meeting you Wes...see ya Saturday in Mass. If possible would people around Albany interested in Legacy be against just going to Science and Hobby and casually playing Legacy Friday nights? There is a ton of space there and I'm sure they wouldn't give a shit. LMK
