Vintage, Limited.

I try to follow them all to some degree, but really don't play any all that much. Some Extended and Standard, but I'm a bit lazy when it comes to tripping for Limited.

Standard & Limited, when I can.

Limited and Legacy only. I'm... better at sealed than draft. I just trade my chase rares for Legacy staples, stow the rest. However, lately, I've only been playing one limited tournament per set...

I payed a lot of attention to Standard until Chris Romeo (that star city guy who looked a little like Borat) quit. Stupid medical conditions...

Standard. I've tried to draft on numerous occasions, but it's like fucking through a shower curtain, I just can't get it done.

I only really follow legacy, but I'll play any format really and do a bit of homework before hand if I do.

Extended, a bit of Standard, and fair amount of Limited.

Limited (mostly draft, I suck at sealed) and some Vintage.

Play Limited when I can (I'm better at Sealed then Draft), follow Extended, and play in probably 1 PTQ a year in it (it's obviously easier to play Extended when your deck has 4 Dark Confidant, 3 Deed, 3 Witness, 3 Jitte, 4 Therapy, 3 Thoughtseize or whatever and fill in 20ish cards then it is to try and get 35+ Standard cards).

I used to play Vintage before they split the formats. If SCG ran another P9 event in Rochester though I'd probably attend.

I enjoy Limited very much, but for a limited constructed environment I prefer Extended; some of the most interesting decks come from Extended. I will look at Vintage occasionally, but I'm only a budget Vintage player.

Limited, 'cause at least i don't suck there, unlike constructed.
extended, 'cause it's fun.
...and standard, because ext/legacy tournaments are like once per month here :( ...

Vintage and Legacy. The only reason I play legacy is because I used to primarily play vintage but then WoTC started to back legacy and everyone I played vintage with stopped playing vintage and started to play legacy.

Extended, although I don't really get to play it anymore.

Legacy only. I started with Standard, then Extended, then Legacy. I'm surprised I haven't dropped to Vintage yet.

Draft, Standard, Big into Block Constructed (as soon as Shadowmoor comes out, although I have ideas), Follow Extended but haven't played, same for Vintage.

Standard, legacy.

My favorite formats are: Standard, Extended, and Legacy.

I prefer Standard and Extended because there is so much more innovation into those formats than Legacy. Always new decks to play and new abilities to learn.

Limited, as the amount of decisions involved drafting and playing with a draft deck make skill paramount and help to mitigate the losing to bad luck part of magic. Used to have a 1900 limited (f'ing Morningtide release weekend! Worst. Limited Envirnment. Ever.), but I think its hovering around 1800 right now... still higher than my 1780 eternal, but playing tournaments weekly instead of monthly helps up the ol rating.

EDIT: I follow everything but Vintage, I infrequently check out top 8 decklists for vintage, but I couldn't reccomend cards for a GAT sideboard other than berserk, rushing river, chain of vapor, and ancient grudge. (perhaps I do know a bit about the format...)

I mostly play Vintage (horribly) and Limited (not so horribly) when I'm not playing Legacy, although recently I've been tinkering around in Extended as well.

I follow Vintage and have some innovatives deck for it as well. Limited is always fun if you have $30+ dollars to blow on food, soda and draft. I haven't played Type 2 in awhile and sort of lost touch with it. Maybe I'll get back into it someday...

I used to be heavily into Standard, Limited (draft only, though), and Extended. However as of late, Standard has become absolutely mindnumbingly boring and Limited has lost its luster to me with Lorwyn, as I just don't like that set at all, and it's significantly less entertaining or interesting to me than Time Spiral was. Extended (read: the only format where I can play 4 Mind's Desire) is still pretty cool and I'll probably borrow some cards and play a PTQ or two.

I really want to look into standard. The decks look fun as hell. The RG Big Mana decks look like so much fun and watching The Magic Show match coverage made me want to play them. Right now though, I don't really have time for multiple formats.

Love playing Vintage when I can and still follow it, and I also like following type 2. I wish I could get back into Standard, but unfortunately don't have the time/resources.

I mostly follow legacy and extended. I would also follow vintage if it were played in my area and even though limited is fun its a bit too expensive to play and way too addictive.

The one format I cannot stand is Standard.

This poll really surprises me. Looks like we Legacy players love us some limited. The fact that (excepting Legacy playables) the limited chaff rares trade well to Type 2 kids can't hurt, I imagine.

This poll really surprises me.

I agree. I was expecting a lot of crossover with Vintage due to a common cardpool. Hell, I can't even play T2 and Extended because all my stuff is tied onto Vintage and Legacy.

My problem is the manabase. I've spent so much time, effort, and money on my Vintage/Legacy manabase that it seems dumb to go out and get a bunch of type2 duals just so I can play standard. Since that's really the bulk of the investment into rotating formats, it seems like a waste to me.

Why isn't the best and only true format listed: Highlander (http://www.highlandermagic.info/index.php).

Obviously its not a sanctioned format but its still a hell of a lot of fun and can be really competative: the power level isn't as low as you'd expect it to be. Also its like every Legacy player's dream because you get to play with all those old cards and only need one copy of each new good card to keep your pile updated.
Maybe this is only a local phenomenon, but at least in southern Germany it is quite widely played, you just have to adjust the banned list for your needs:
Want a more broken game? Allow Intuition, Gifts Ungiven, Survival of the Fittest, Life from the Loam. Or just follow this (http://www.magicplayer.org/index.php?id=eskannnureinengeben) banned list that's used for the Highlander GPs (privately organized).
Want a more stable/fun game? Ban recurring and multiple Tutor effects and too strong recurring card advantage engines (Gifts, Intuition, SotF, LftL) and allow some of the less broken cards (Mystical Tutor, Tolarian Academy, Strip Mine, Power Artifact etc.)!

Hey, I forgot. This poll needs Elder Dragon Highlander, the second best format ever.

Speaking of lands, In my playtesting for extended, I always use Duals as a Shocks and hate it. It really does suck when you have to go for Painlands and Shocks when you already have all 40 duals.

I used to be a Vintage player before they banned Gush, and printed Storm and Mirrodin block. These days, Legacy is the format Vintage used to be, or even better. I still check up on it from time to time, but pretty rarely. (I thought the reemergence of Groatog would have rekindled my interest, but it didn't happen that way. I just don't have any of the intuitive understanding of the format I used to have, and which I now have of Legacy, and the other constructed formats to a lesser extent).

Extended seems like a very cool format right now, so I follow that from a distance. Too bad it's rotating soon. I also pay attention to Standard and Block when their season comes around, but don't involve myself particularly.

It also lacks Make Your Own Standard and Type 4 among others, so I guess it's a list of which tournament formats you follow/play.

Yeah EDH for sure (OMG my Heartless Hidetsugu deck is SO FUN), but since we're talking real formats ...

Up until recently just Vintage, BUT my friends got me into extended recently and it is a lot of fun.
I mean in Legacy I play TES, so playing TEPS was no problem.
Picked me up a few playsets of commons and some Gifts/Desires/Blooms and was ready to go.

The damn format is so slow it is really easy for combo to take hold.

Careful, people that don't regularly converse with me will look at you funny when you say you play Gifts in TEPS. ;)

I play pretty much anything, although I tend towards combo in any format. Right now, I have Standard, Extended, Legacy, Vintage, Lorwyn Block Constructed, EDH (partially proxied because my Vintage deck is sleeved), about 10 draft decks (I keep my draft decks together for some time), and peasant legacy put together.

Haha, I suppose you're right.
I still can't convince my friends to play it.
No one in Extended can split the piles correctly.

Ah well, their loss lol

Yes, as Eldariel says, the poll was meant for competitive formats only. Incidentally, this means that you should not tick Limited if you play Type 4 or Solomon draft.

Since we're talking about alternative formats, I find it sad that no-one plays Landless Magic. I think it's close to a strict upgrade over regular MtG.

It's that combo that should keep Mind Twist on the banned list.

I dabble in all formats... I usually just play Legacy, byut when the opportunity emerges, I play any format.

I have not played in a vintage tourney without proxies however (I am poor you know).

I am currently very involved in the ptq season of extended for pt hollywood (right near me.. how lucky!!!).
