I just wanted to hear some thoughts about MB toolboxes and wishboards. As I have never played toolboxes nor wishboards. But as far as I know, here's some things about each thing:
Toolboxes:
1. Fills up space which can be dead draws
2. Makes no other room for better cards

and the good stuff:

1. Digs you the appropriate card which can end games
2. Is very ease to tutor up

Wishboards:
1. Makes sideboarding hard, sometimes impossible
2. Are often very narrow because of the lack of good tutors

pros:
1. Cards in wishboards can of course not be removed
2. Doesn't fill up space in your maindeck, which can give you a better G1.

Am I right in these statements? I posted this because I think it's handy to use some serious answers to almost every deck. What are your thoughts about these "toolboxes"? Post your thoughts here!

Decks with a focused gameplan will usually prefer a wishboard - they won't draw junk they don't need, the tools can be very specialised and they don't want to sideboard too much anyway. Combo decks can use these to good effect; I can't really see a deck like TES devote space to a maindeck toolbox.
Sometimes the choice exists. Spring Tide could easily play Muddle the Mixture instead of Cunning Wish since the likes of Braingeyser and Echoing Truth can be decent draws in their own right. A full toolbox, however, is difficult to implement that way, and generally it's more convenient to have 3 or 4 copies of the bread-and-butter cards and fetch silver bullets from the board.

Maindeck toolboxes face more constraints - the cards need to be specialised enough to adress key issues, but applicable against the majority of decks in the format. Decks that thrive more on flexibility than raw power will often prefer these though, because they don't need a tutor to get the right tool for the right moment; they can also topdeck it or dig for it.
Sometimes there are other synergy effects... for example, I'm in love with the combination of Counterbalance, Enlightened Tutor and an oversized toolbox.

I think that the problem with toolboxes and wishboards is that they can fall in the "danger of cool things" stuff. I think that the real point is avoid an oversized toolbox/wishboard wich can, eventually, make you draw very specific cards when not needed or reduce the rom youv'e got available in your SB. Nowadays we're seeing thatgood players reduce their toolbox size, for example, many Survival lists pack less redundant or uneeded stuf and just go for a little toolbox consistant in Genesis, Squee, Harmonic and a pir of extra cards, while increasing the aggro numbers with Mongoose, Tarmogoyf, Doran, etc. This won't make you topdeck a Big-Game Hunter against Goblins or Dark-Heart Sliver against Landstill. Something similar happens with Cunning Landstill.
