As far as I am aware, Shapesharer is the first card that allows the creation of copies of creatures on the stack and in the graveyard since the 'Changeling' keyword seems to make cards on the stack and in the graveyard legal targets for the Shapesharer's ability. Shapesharer does not specify that the target shapeshifter has to be a creature - and there are cards like counterspell and extirpate that target cards in the graveyard or on the stack.
If Nameless Inversion is on the stack, and Shapesharer and a saproling token are in play, can Shapesharer copy the Saproling on to the Nameless Inversion? If so, what happens then?
Can the copy be countered (is it a spell anymore)?
Does it get removed from the game because it's a token?
Does the 'copy' effect stay if a Shapesharer-copied card transitions between visible zones?
