Not sure if this is the right place to post but I'm new around here. Is it just me or is it getting even harder to find P3K cards? I need a Ravages of War for my cube and can't find one to buy online. Ebay has none, Findmagiccarrds has no leads, Cardshark has none.

Guess this leads to two things:
#1 How big an issue is this? Is this temporary? Personally I dislike having cards in a format that are this hard to find. Your local card shop being out is one thing, the card being expensive is another, not being able to buy one is something else entirely.

#2 Anyone have a spare or know an obscure website that has it in stock? PM me.

If there is another place this should be please move it there, also if the fact I need one isn't okay to post can just edit that out.

Haha, welcome to the world of the MTG Collector!
P3K is primarily a collectors set and there isn't a whole ton of it out there.

When I stopped playing White Stax last year I sold my two English copies of Ravages of War at $45 and $50 each. o_0
They are seriously difficult to find, I got one on eBay at 28 and my friend who used to play a long time ago just gave me one.
In fact he had a ton of P3K laying around because he bought a box or two while is wasn't legal (cheap, in other words haha)

That being said, eBay is just dry for P3K in general right now.
I'd highly suggest MOTL or Librarities. One was just sold for $15 a month or so ago.

Very dry... You know it's bad when a Rolling Earthquake sells for *$70* (I'm happy for collecting the suckers, but... damn.)

I just haven't seen too many Ravages hit the market (I bid on them to a degre) and they go off for far more than I'd pay... The market for P3K has just exploded the last 2 months, but... I don't know if this would be a long-term phenomena. The price of English boosters has gone up a measure... It's a far cry from me being able to pick up T-Chinese boosters for $6 apiece a year ago. There are no 'power commons' really... You can hit it big with Recruiter ($50), Retainers ($10), and Strategic Planning ($15) in the uncommons slot, but there are only 2 per pack... and as for rares, it's down to Burning of Xinye (highly variable), Ravages of War (highly variable), Rolling Earthquake ($45-70), Zodiac Dragon ($80, but it's merely a collectable now. I can only see it dropping...), and Imperial Seal ($150-195). I'm just the freak who runs a Sun Quan, Lord of Wu in HG Survival for sh*ts and giggles. Tarmogoyfs with Horsemanship FTW! However, I find it hard to find P3K at all on Chinese web sites... It's hard to find Magic really... Should I be using a browser other than Yahoo when using Chinese characters?

Check eBay every day for a year. You might get lucky and find one at market price.

Otherwise your only choice is to buy chinese versions at inflated prices from sketchy dealers on the internet.

or, you know, just proxy it. not like people would care in that format.

You can setup eBay to email you "searches". Say you're looking for Ravages of War, or P3k, or Portal Three Kingdom, you can set it up so whenever an auction for Ravages of War (or whatever you want) comes up, it's sent to your email.

Thanks for the advice, guess I'll keep looking. I might proxy it but at the moment cube has 0 proxies so not sure if its worth adding one to get 'geddon #2.

Edit: Got a PM with two sites that have it. One no longer has it, other is 50 euros and I'm not paying over $80. Who knows probably what they are worth now.

Since Cube is a draft format, what's stopping you from adding extra Geddons? There's no restriction on copies of the same card in Limited.

Nothing is stopping me but I don't want to. I'm happy to run two cards that have different names but the same rules text. I don't want to run two of the same card. A second geddon would have the same effect on gameplay as a Ravages of War. However I think it would degrade other parts of the draft. Whats better a deck with 23 unique cards including geddon and Ravages or 22 unique cards with a pair of geddons?

Sorry for the Necro, but I think this thread fits the purpose.

Where can I buy Non-Spoiler P3K Rares for a reasonable price?

Check eBay every day for a year. You might get lucky and find one at market price.Even doing so, I endorse what the OP says. I'm the fortunate person who won an auction of 3 Ravages of War 15 months ago, for $227, and since then I keep lurking on eBay, looking up for new auctions on it (just to keep sure I didn't buy a Shadowmoor Reflecting Pool triplet) and can't find a single one. I'm starting to think I bought the last available copies in the entire world.

I'm almost deciding for put them on eBay again, and then change my car, switch my house's furniture, fund a new hair finge to my girlfriend, and buy a new dog...

I see them up on AlphaBetaUnlimiteds website here and there, but for the most part you're screwed. I recently was finishing my set of it since I noticed the supply was drying up pretty bad and I needed a couple of the larger ones. I went for a year and 6 months of searching for that damned Wolf Pack and finally found one and I have some serious searching tools.

I still need one card left and it's just a matter of time before I end up just accepting the fact I will have to pay a ton for it. Stupid Imperial Recruiter.

Ravages is a bad one to go after since it's actually played in White Stax. Just be glad you don't need a Wolf Pack. Bah, that card was stupid to get.

I got 5 (because I bidded on several auctions at the same time) Ravages between 10 and 20$ some years ago and my best shot was a set of 5 P3K rares including rolling earthquake. I sold 1 of the Ravages at 40€. I still have 4 of them. As I'm still not enclined on making money with magic (it's utopic anyway), I won't sell them. Just bragging...
