I have a few cards with black borders and the edges have multiple nics and are worn showing white. While I know how to make white borders more white I cannot figure out black borders.
The only thing I can think of is some type of Ink/Marker.
But I am not satisfied with what I've tried so far.
Does anybody know any good techniques for restoring cards condition?

Trade the beat ones away and buy minty-er ones
The only way I know of to make them "appear" less worn is to ink them as you are describing, this hurts their value more than it helps it though in most peoples' eyes so I would only probably consider doing this if it was a personal playset that you didn't want to invest in replacing and wanted to give the illusion that it was in better condition than it is.

Play with sleeves and don't by cards in poor condition. The end.

AND get used to a normal shuffle-style. The way I shuffle my cards always beats them tohell, that's why I usually buy worn cards. After all, I want to play with them and not make profit.

Use white protectors. It will almost make the white on the edges disappear.
That's what I do with some of my "French Beta" Duals which are a little played.
