Which is better in a deck running 4 FoW's, Divert or Misdirection. They will be in the board, I plan to use them against MBC/Dead Guy builds and to try and swing the counter was in my favor. I think divert will be the better choice because I am already running 4 FoW's and can't really support another, discard a blue card, alternative cost. Discuss...

Because force spike sucks big hairy nut sack in this format...
I think that divert is pretty good call, as you can send a hymm (pretty decent play) or sinkhole towards them early game to turn the tides early on... just my two cents.

Simple answer: Can you realistically afford to keep U open? If yes, then Divert is probably better than Misd.

I like Disrupt better than either. It isn't limited to hitting targeted spells (Disrupting a Dark Ritual is usually amazing), and will at least cycle later in the game.

Divert and Disrupt doesn't seem to be good enough, as a very common play from Suicide/Deadguy is to go Ritual, then 1cc discard. In this situation, you won't be able to do anything, except slow him down a very little bit.
Misdirection seems to be a 2 for 2, being one from each an expendable card, so I don't think it compensates much. You are not going to lose a key card, though.

Disrupt's biggest advantage is that it can counter Dark Ritual. Stopping a turn-one Ritual, which might have been intended to power out any number of things (you certainly can't Divert a Hypnotic Specter) breaks your opponent's tempo without costing you in cards. It's a deceptively devastating play.

These cards are both pretty awful, like Alix said Disrupt is better and no one plays that jank

It sort of depends on what you're doing with them.
If you're trying to pull off a combo, Misdirection's usually your better friend, given that it's every bit as good against Force of Will as Force of Will is.
Against Black, Brainstorm + Card Draw should already be their worst nightmare, but if you need a bit more, then I agree with OBFreely and suggest Disrupt.

both are only good in the SB.

If you want to run hate specifically for black based disruption decks, run dodecapod! It's both hilarious and satisfying.

Meh, Misdirection and Divert have broader applications than just black spells. Dodecapod is 10000000 more narrow than Misdirection and Divert.

Yeah, but it's freaking Dodecapod.

This ain't Standard. A free 5/5 will be an annoyance, but it won't exactly scare away Nantuko Shade.

Humor, my friend. I think. I hope.
Nah, I'm pretty sure it was. Seriously, it's freaking Dodecapod.

Just want break in to this discussion for a while: is it wise to counter the enabler (ritual) or the thread?
Won't countering the enabler mean that you will get smacked the next turn with the thread you didn't counter?
