I've been thinking about how to make a combo out of Order of Whiteclay, and so far am completely disappointed with what i was sure could be made into a degenerate combo.
Best i've come up so far is a 5 card combo.
Order of WhiteClay
something that lets WhiteClay tap (a "T:ping" enchantment or Viridian Longbow work best)
Priest of Gix (or Cathodion) to get back the mana spent on whiteclay
Farrelite Priest to convert the mana to white.
And a sac outlet (ashnod's altar gives infi mana with the combo)
talk about disapointing.
But i did come up with an ok 3 card combo... all artifacts.
Pili-Pala 2 cost 1/1 flyer with "2, Q: add one mana of any color"
Heartstone 3 cost artifact with "activated abilities of creatures cost 1 less"
and again something to tap the creature with, to keep it colorless lets say:
Viridian Longbow 1 cost, 3 to equip that gives "T: deal 1 damage to creature or player"
The initial tap can be declaring the pili as an attacker, and then before they even declare blockers for an initial investment of 1 mana you can ping everything and everyone in sight to death. Even if they have infinite life.
Total mana cost of combo:
1 to play longbow
2 to play Pili-Pala
3 to play Heartstone
3 to equip Longbow
1 to for first untap of Pili-Pala
Assuming you have either blue or red in the deck, the longbow's 4 mana cost can be replaced with a 2 cost "enchanted creature has T:ping" aura.
With just a bit of mana acceleration (need 2 colorless mana turn 1 and 6 mana turn 2)
Turn 1: Ancient tomb/City of traitors for Pili-Pala
Turn 2: Mountain for Seething song into Heartstone and power of fire. and then you'd still need a 1 mana accelerant to get the first untap....
Ye its 7 cards on turn 2, which is basicaly a god draw, but it would be considerably easier to go off for turn 3,
1: tomb (or mountain an chrome mox) for pili-pala
2: mountain for heartstone
3: 2 of 3 mana you already have for power of fire, ping, untap with the third mana...
5 cards on turn 3... anyway that's the best i've got so far...
If anyone can make a better combo with the untap creatures, please post it, cause i'd realy like to make a casual combo deck out of them.
