I tried doing an autoupdate and it seems to not work for me. Is Shadowmoor officially out for MWS? If not, anyone have an idea when it will be?

I'd say GoblinHero will probably update his masterbase first:

www.slightlymagic.net

I think he's better than the MWS people at keeping up with stuff.

edit - Oh, look at his first announcement:

22.04.2008

Shadowmoor masterbase

It's like he knew.

edit2 - And apparently so did Nihil. From the Shadowmoor info thread:

I'll probably keep plugging this until the day I die, but GoblinHero has just released (http://www.slightlymagic.net/base.shtml) his Shadowmoor MasterBase and theme. Get those and it will work OK, hybrid symbols and all.

So, I'm going to plug this guy again, too. GoblinHero is seriously quick with releasing masterbases, and so far they've all worked flawlessly for me.

how do you get the themes to work? I extracted the themes to the themes folder, but it's still showing up K as the hybrid symbols (they worked fine before the new masterbase)

Any idea when the official masterbase will be avaliable?

Right around after everyone just downloads GoblinHero's. For serious, no one even uses the official ones anymore.

Oh. After the 2/C hybrid mana symbols came out, GoblinHero changed the letters that represent hybrid mana symbols around (for example, :wu: used to be 'H', but now GoblinHero uses 'D') . If you download his theme (either the New Theme or the Old Theme, available here (http://www.slightlymagic.net/base.shtml)), everything should work out fine. If for some reason you don't like his theme, I suppose you can go into whatever theme you're currently using and edit in the new mana symbol bindings like I do because I'm so damn l33t.

The "unofficial" works fine for me =)

Just d/led this, but the split mana symbols are all sorts of weird thinks (like instead or r/g or 2/r, it has like A, V, K, L, etc).

Anyone face a similar prob?

Can someone help me out here? Whenever I use the autoupdater for GoblinHeros base it doesn't give me Shadowmoor (and doesn't show up as an option when I view the sets). Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Doesn't the auto-updater rely on the official mws.com base? As far as I know, GoblinHero's base needs to be installed manually (i.e. download from his site and unpack into your MWS directory).

You are correct Nihil. Auto update looks only for the "official" base, not for any other.

Nihil - Any idea when the official base comes out?

Nihil - Any idea when the official base comes out?No idea, I don't care about it. Ask at the mws official forums.
