hey
when i made my rw rifter deck it was a good meta choise. there were a lot of goblins and survivals and any combodecks were too seldom. but now after about a month break meta have changed a lot. last time it was smthg like this: 1 ichorid, 2 belchers, 1 tes, 2 landstills, 2 agroloams, 2 ********, 1 tarmofolk, 1 burn, 1 cephalid, 1 dragon stompy, 1 affinity and some decks i dont remember. i top8ed but u can see now metagame seems awful for this deck. also i expect about 2 servant decks in some days when they get their grindstones. so i have to build smthg new. i think it should be smthg black for heavy hand disruption and gravehate. also i dont want to build an expensive deck (read "more than 2 colors or 2 colors with a small splash and better without tarmogoyfs"). btw i prefer playing control and skill intensive decks with a lot of options. what can u advise?
thx

U/W/x Landstill seems like a good choice. Alternatively, Faerie stompy.

I think mono u control will work good too, its not that expensive, skill intensive and can be good against those decks in your meta.

otherwise landstill is indeed a very good option(altough it is not that cheap)

Ichorid really doesn't look too bad in this meta. It would be quite good versus the landstill and threshold decks, and, its speed would be fast enough to compete with TES. Although, CRET Belcher seems like a hard match up for ichorid. Also, ichorid is relatively inexpensive.

Not qute actually. I made my version and it tends to resupply my deck consistantly although people still interpet it as a Boros deck although it is truely a Rifter deck with three other functions mashed into the plan.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgF_2ZKO98o this is a link to the deck review I did on my version months ago. The comments I got were from people who didn't have much experience in the format at all other than just Extended.

Another option might be to play Stax. Given that you know what you meta is, or at least some of the decks that are going to T8 or that you'll have to beat to get there, you could design a Stax meta package to do fairly well. SunTower Stax is pretty uhmazing and has a good way to deal with aggro and the UbaMask addition can do some pretty nasty things to people. Plus, SunTower Stax draws cards on a fairly decent basis while other Stax decks tend to slip into Topdeck mode fairly quickly. GeddonStax can also be a nice addition given that White will give you access to things like Rule of Law, Geddon, Supressoion Field ect. I guess the disruption from cards like Trinisphere, Smokestack, Chalice ect just seem like they would be a good package to take into a meta like that. I would also note that while its not as disruptive as say Dragon Stompy, it is going to play out more consistently therefore it at least should be noted.

It is also a skill intensive deck and its a control type deck as well.

While I won't dissuade you from playing Sun Tower, please use a newer version without Uba Mask. Uba Mask was dropped very early on for better cards.
