On TMD, just saw that Wizards posted the 2008 Vintage champs location in Chicago at the U.S. Nationals, NOT GENCON:

The Legacy page still says 2007, but the Vintage page does indicate a Legacy tournament on Saturday that has 30 dual/10 dual split for the top 2, similar to 2006.

Yeah, I'm slowly getting more and more paranoid over no GenCon Legacy Champs. I had heard that Pasttimes screwed up on something, but I think this is really the final nail in the coffin.

I was really looking forward to GenCon to...if there are no champs tourneys then there is no point in going

Pastimes pretty much sucks, so that would be likely.

I really wish i was rich, i would by a store for magic so big, it would make pastimes cry. Then i would make huge tournaments for the vintage format, because pastimes hasn't had a decent vinatge tournament in God knows when.

I hope that the Legacy champs are also in Chicago, I would hate to have to decide between the two, because I would probably end up at the Vintage one, with most of my crew being Vintage players. But if they are both there, I will be there.

It's unfortunate that the championships are going to be in separate locations. I'd really like the chance the participate in both.

You can do both, the dates are different. Vintage is Aug. 2, Legacy Aug. 15.

But not in 1 trip. This is very relevant for those who would come from far. Since the Vintage one has a big legacy side event, I will end up there.

Well yeah, going to both isnt practical and I agree that Wizards is fuckin up not having them both at same place/time, but the point still remains that if you are really hellbent on doing both, it is doable.

Thats true. I will probably end of doing the legacy event. Btw bonvinious, i miss your old catch phrase: FUCK YEAH SEAKING!!!. The blanks just arn't the same.
