[Question] Who has the best Dual Land Drafts?

This question can apply to any large tournament where many people from different areas come to play Legacy. Who has the best Dual Land Drafts? Is it VA? NY? West Coast? I know the Washington one is coming up soon. What about out in Germany, Italy, Japan, and other places? I thought this might a be fun thread. The NY and VA ones are really good, but since ours are in a Fuddruckers, I think VA wins. :smile:

Just look at the prize support for the last tournament. 50 people and the prizes given out were pretty darn good if you ask me. Especially the door prizes.

Well actually I was hoping that we could get some comparisons going about the tournaments. Do some tournaments have a lunch break (man I think this awesome)? Do some tournaments have cool locations? Are there good side events?

Yep. Playing in what amounted to a 100 degree hallway with no ventilation surrounded by sweaty Magic players was awesome. I guess the greasy over priced McDonalds caliber food served cafeteria style by Calosso's family (in broken English I might add) was a plus.

Did you come to the one last summer? That one had much more ventilation. I agree it was very hot down there for this past one.

I suppose you were expecting floor to ceiling fold out windows overlooking a scenic view of a sandy beach and the ocean, with the trade winds blowing gently in your face as you shuffle up to play against your next female-supermodel-who-works-at-a-ritzy-strip-club-to-pay-her-way-through-med- school-but-just-happens-to-have-an-interest-in-eternal-magic-formats opponent while one of her friends rolls up the all you can eat Alaskan king crab leg and fillet mignon buffet cart?

You have to make some compromises to play legacy. Although yeah, AC is nice.

By the way, when did Calosso's family get jobs?

I can only compare between VA and NY (does CT count)? I like VA because I don't have to drive 7 hours.

Can't a man have dreams? Fuddruckers was still 1000x better than Play the Game Read the Story. No in store toilet, and no smoking on the property. Shit, I'd rather play Magic in a fucking crack house.
