Today's arcana tells the story about the stolen foil Crystalline Slivers and that Wizard's is finally giving them away because they were recovered.

I've heard (read) this story long ago, most probably here or on SCG and regarded it as a legend. Now they confirmed it... or it could be something like Coldsnap being found on Richard's old files.

Did they really recovered ALL of them? Since they were printed so long ago, are there enough to give away in all of those tournaments? Has anyone seem one that might slipped onto the secondary market?

Nice Indiana Jones impersonation, Wizards.

Wow. Finally we'll be seeing the decksets closer to the $40-50 of years past? I'd honestly consider putting together a Meathooks variant at some point if they finally dropped to being a reasonable price again.

Sorry for the slight necro. Does anybody care to speculate what these guys will be going for?

4 on ebay. All different auctions though. Around 150 for a set.

Also, are they tourney legal now? Pretty sure they would be, but nobody answered my question in the other thread.

Chances are they will be tourney legal.

Also of note, a shop owner that I talk to pretty regularly told me that at GAMA Wizards was handing these out like candy. A "carnival" style game that people were allowed to play with throwing balls at stacked jugs got a deckset for anyone able to knock all 6 down, and a single if you didn't.

So be pretty certain these things will be going down from the skyrocketed value of the last few years. Dunno where they're going to balance, but just be sure to not stick to spending $70+ a pop anymore.

They ar elike 45 on ebay right now. I heard that they are legal now and that they were handing them out somewhere too. Go buy them!

As I will be going to the GP, I already secured more than a playset from Friends.
I predict about 30, if you're not there.
