[Deck] Ordergadon WG aggro aka "P.O.C"

hi boys and girls

i would like today giving you my deck list im working on since 6 month approximatly, it's been my best deck so far and i think this deck has some serious potential.

ok and now the explanation

first of i got to say that on the 12 tournament i did so far with this pile, 9 out of 12 gave me a perfect grid and i also finish 22e at the starcity game 5k legacys in boston in may

ok enough with th achievment

the idea behind the deck is to always put pressure on your opponent it can come out quickly turn 3 is the most common turn that you will go off with either the natural order or the armagedon with still some mana producing thing in play.eaven turn 2 you can come out i did it a couple time and the most uncommon is turn 2 uncoutrable but still can happen

but the combo (or shall i say "key cards") dosent make the deck cause basically were talking about an aggro deck here and lets just say that the creatures here are quite violent they drop quikly and are all boost up on steroid basically your creature will always be stonger than your opponent and thats great right...

ok the card choice

birds and hierarch: mana producing creatures good synergy with natural order and armagedon and like its not enough the hierarch boost your goyf bigger than your opponant goyf...:wink:

goyf... undercost creature...well i guess:rolleyes:

knigh of reliquary: ok now where getting somewhere the knight it is by far one of the best cards of the deck it genarate mana it fecth to back your cards with boseiju and he get big and mean quite quickly hes a win condition and an awsome key cards by the same way without this cards the deck dosent work

qasali pridemage: this card is way to broken not to be played i will not explain why it is so good cause its quite obvious (right now im running +1 pride mage -1 path to exiled i just love to much the card)

vexing shusher: this card is probably a meta choice i hate seing my thing being counter so im running 2 of those buddy main deck but since im playing so much exalted you could be surprise the way this lil gobbo can quite come out strong some time i do think hes a stapler to the deck

progenitus and archangel: well there my kill most of the time they both good some i did try 2 progenitus but the angel is quite important to it will win you some games that seems unwinnable but the point is that you need at least to fat tartget cause 1 is simply not enough you dont want to be stock with your only target in your hand


disrupt

sword and path: well i think they are probably the best removall right now and thats why i run them simple no, in fact my current build right now is as i said earlier is -1 path +1 pridemage but free to do whatever to your liking


elspeth: this is my last addition the thing that bug me the most tough is the fact that eslpeth is another 4cc spell thats the only thing that bug me but ITS THE HOUSE this card is plainly insane i cannot remember all the time i was doing lethal damage with my goyf who was attacking for 9 or my knight who was doing 12/12 with all the exalted. if you dont have enough creature well it give you some i do think that elspeth is in the most powerful card in legacy right now and if you take a look at yan sauvé decklist ulrimate planewalker you will see the awsome potential of the planewalker

spell

sylvan library: wow simply wow its by far the best card againts landstill, eva green. landstill dont put pressure early so draw all card to have more card than them you will see all the landstill player will sweat like theres no tomorrow. againts eva green just hide your key card on the top deck and draw them only when you need them and thats about it. it generate card advantage in green wich is pretty rare the loss of live is not that bad when it enable you the win so dont be scared to draw remember you are the aggresor.

natural order: here the big stuff well natural order is in the deck the equivalant of a 1 card combo that win you the game and you can use it so early that i would say at least 85% of the time its a game win with progenitus or the angel not bad :cool:

armagedon: you probably can count how much deck can survive an armagedon well not much i dont eaven side them out againts deck that run loam and crucible they can only put 1 land each turn and thats just not enough the turn advantage is just awsome especialy when you got bird hierarch and/or chrome mox in play, it boost the knight like hell too. i got to say tough that armagedon is the card i side the most againts vial stompy deck and things like that and thats why a 4 of is to much 3 is just perfect
armagedon when played correctly is probably the mvp in this deck

the mana base: i dont think theres a lot to say about the manabase well maybe some explanation for the chrome mox. well it enable broken turn 1 and 2 and have a good synergy with armagedonit speed up the deck. but 2 is the maximum since you dont want to be stock with some in your hand i think that 2 is the perfect number

and now for the toolbox land: cradle is the nuts since you run 24 creature and of course you can fetch all of those land with the knight dont forget:mad: the craddle enable some sick play like having suddenly a blast of mana to back up your order with your shusher in hand its defenitly a stapler to the deck

boseiju::laugh: lol my favorite ALL control player will look at you when your gonna say at the end of turn fetch boseiju they will get it but it will be to late its the best land againts all control deck its a mana ability cant be needle cant be stifle simply sick

dryad arbour: all your creature are dead you got the natural order in hand looking at you saying hahaha im a dead card deal with it.... well not anymore if you got a fecth and/or a knight in play. dont forget that its still a blocker too

maze of ith: it win games againts bant deck, disable jitte wich is good and wreck all stompy deck i think that maze is really an underestimated card and since that in my deck i can fetch it well its really a must

The list looks alright, but it belongs in N&D. I would suggest giving it a slightly more coherent title also.

I think Survival or even Loam is a better CA engine than Library. Elspeth is definitely the nuts but it feels a little out of place here.

I think I played against this one time on MWS. Have you done any MWS testing with this, OP?

I think I remember watching this deck play against Merfolk on the webcam at the Starcity 5k. It looked good and did what it wanted to do most of the time, but I think Survival could be a lot better than Sylvan Library. It gives the deck another way to win. Cool deck though!

Hey Hugo, it's seems like you've added Elspeth to the list. How good was it in your testing ? Was it often winmore?

This is not too dissimilar to a deck I'm running with pretty good success. Main differences are that I run LftL engine but no Progenitus shenanigans or Armaggedon. Anywho, Yougo how are you finding the match-up verse Sligh or similarly fast aggro decks? I seem to be getting wrecked by them and could use some advice.

@Mono_Thematic. the reason your deck keeps getting rolled by other aggro decks is because its got way too high a manacurve. specifically on your threats. your only 1cc spells being 4 swords to plowshares. and other threats relying heavily on threshold. in a deck that takes forever to reach 7 cards in its graveyard. mystic enforcer/monestary just seem terrible. I'm also failing to see the synergy that loam really offers your deck. it does dredge which can help achieve threshold faster. but then it takes 3 lands out of your yard making knight and thresh cards weaker. maby you should try mox diamond to increase the speed of the deck and hit threshold faster. and maby drop the o-rings for something that will help alot more in the aggro matchups. like wrath of god. accelerating into wrath with mox diamond then playing your threats after wiping your aponents board seems much stronger to me than simply o-ringing one of there multiple threats. and hoping your slower threats can keep you in the game. sorry if it seems like im being an ass, I'm just really tired and trying to offer some constructive criticism.

ok about the eslpeth ive got to admit that at first it look weird and i wasent sure how to play the deck since i was trying this but it turn to be just perfect you just run the deck the same way you were use to but in a stronger way lets say you control a creature and the opponant to well you drop elspeth and then you can fly over him you became the agressor and thats why it is so important ok lets say now that you dont have creature your in trouble your opponant is beating you down and you got natural armagedon whatever in you hand well... there basicaly dead but not elspeth it will drop you creature to gain some time see some card especialy when you can win out of no where

what im trying to say, is that eslpeth is never a dead card its always good
and its definetly winmore since ive had elspeth, definetly

still do whatever change you want, but i personelly think that elspeth is a must in the deck

and now for the survival argument well i got to say that survival look very solid. when i created the deck at first i wasent sure if i was going survival, loam or whatever, it turns out that the deck end up the way he is right now i choose library because i already play library in the past and it surprised me if you can manage the loss of life to have a deck so fast and aggresive well dont look no further

i do think that library is a broken card BUT belong in a deck that can support it, mine can, so basically it genarate more CA. another thing, i cant count on one hand i much time i got the library counterspell can you say that much about the fittest:wink: , i think that people are just not use to library enough i recomand you guys to try it with the library first and then if you dont like it well try something else

still i do need to test with survival i didnt test as much with it and that path deserve better attention

and Mono_Thematic what you call shenanigans is the anwser to your question just drop an archangel here its just better than progenitus and armagedon can cripple them pretty bad those "shenanigans" are your key spell here. at first i was scared of those matchup but after playing alot againts some it turn out to be pretty 50/50 or eaven 55/45 after all there not running fire/ice whoa :eek: cause this is another story lol

and now the sideboard choice

1 vexing shusher: just to ease the match againts control

2 krosan grip: pernicious deed explosive jitte well the grip is just good

4 ethersworn canonist: againts elf and storm pretty good card. in an heavy storm meta i would suggest to run orims chant thats what i was doing first but since "i never see such deck" ive switch a bit

4 hidden gibbon::confused: well thats the weird card i guess well it happens to be one of my greatest secret tech(not so secret now) againts slight naya burn and espcialy my worst nightmare canadian ThreshThreshThreshThreshThresh:eek: its a 4/4 creature so they have to spend 2 burn to remove it and they MUST break it, since its a one drop it gos on early, it simply gave me some game

some graveyard hate me i rune 2 relic and 2 tomb but it can be your choice and actualy i would like some advice what should i put againts the graveyard i was asking myself if there was a better cards here or eaven simply no graveyard hate i never see ichorid and loam deck and things like that dosent scared me so i was wandering if they would be a better choice

My deck runs 8 cycling lands, 4 fetches, and 4 Canopy's. Trust me when I say getting threshold is no problem.
You're right, tho, it is rather slow. but then again is it meant to be mid-range, so spending the first turn or two just to cycle away lands is designed into the game plan.
I'm planning to cut the Garruks, so that opens 2 spots. Mox Diamond is an interesting idea, but its such a horrendous top-deck draw that I don't think it'll work. I was think either Path to Exile (dead card against control) or Runed Halo (which I'm obsessed with).

Did some playtesting of this deck online recently...

and HOLY CRAP this thing is crazy. I didn't think Natural Order could get any better than it already was in my B/G Rock shell, but the addition of Knight and Armageddon is just unbelievable. The ability to wipe out your opponent's lands after playing a some mana dudes, a Knight or a Natural Order basically just wins the game for you on the spot. I almost feel like I'm cheating when I play this deck.

Sylvan Library looks like crap when you first look at it - 4 life per card in the aggro-centric Legacy metagame? But in certain matchups vs. control it is game-breaking, and in other matchups it still gets you the crucial land drop, or NO, or Armageddon you need in the knick of time. And you can always pitch it to Mox or whatever too.

Oh, and I love the way this guy (yougo) writes. It's so funny.

Hugo, it really depends. In the meta, there's alot of Canadian ThreshThreshThreshThreshThresh, that can be wreck by a relic. But, it might be likely be overkill versus them, you already have shushers and some other things in your sideboard.
Also, if you play versus Ichorid, it's almost an istant loose, you don't have many things that are good versus it. You're only hope is to race them... you hope that they will have a SLOW hand or that you have an accelerator + natural order. But there is not a high chance of getting paired against ichorid.
And I'm not sure if it's really worth it agaisnt other decks hated by relic.. (Eva Green, Team America, some Landstill, Aggro loam).

By the way, are you coming at the Valet tomorrow ?

What did this deck lose to in the SCG 5k?

ive lose to a weird ugr control aggro deck that was playing fire/ice clique goyf lavamancer the guy did top 8 after but i dont remember is name

and to merfolk splash g with goyf but i gotta say here that this dude game 1 have seen the whole fow playset and 3 daze i was simply not able to cast anything game 2 i won and game 3 he simply got me

about the matches % now

eva green best card: sylvan library %: 60\40

well at firt i was having a hard time againts eva green but soon it all make sense the library is just ridiculous all you have to do is hiding your key spell at your top deck and then boom when you need it. also your creature is stronger than his and you still got sword as a disrupt you can come out faster than him and he dont run some counter so hes pretty vulnerable

post SB -2 vexing shusher +2 Kgrip 55/45

ok after side board their best card is of course pernicious deed but you got your 4 pridemage and 2 grip but still the deed out of a dark ritual can be really nasty well it is a bit harder for you but still somehow easy you just gotta take care of what your doing


ThreshThreshThreshThreshThresh best card: knight of reliquary 65/35

ive never had an hard time playing againts ThreshThreshThreshThreshThresh. eaven your goyf is stronger than their goyf with all the exalted :tongue: you just got to watch for their early daze when go cast the knight but once knight is in play he is getting bigger so fast and fetch to back your combo at the same time. he is the nuts. he got to be sword and during this time goyf beats him down eaven your shusher and your pridemage can beat him down with the exalted or elspeth. dont forget that your combo cost make it eaven better cause its unreachable with the countertop well basicaly its not a hard match

post SB -1 bird +1 shusher or -1bird -1armagedon -1elspeth +1shusher +2Kgrip 60\40

ok now he could have board some mass removal explosive or firespout or whatever you just have to play it slower simple you got now 3 shusher and maybe 2 Kgrip 4 pridemage and 4 sword you can manage is thing and with library dont be scared to pay some life if you got more card than him hes just screwd

ha damn this deck one of my worst matchup fire ice is plainly broken here he destroy your mana dude it daze it force he eaven stifle your mana base. he wont let you breath the key here is as soon as you can put a big dude into play your in business but i gotta say that its kinda hard. chrome mox is a damn good card here since it assure you some fast mana.

Post SB -4bird -2pridemage +4hidden gibons +2relic 40/60

now they have firespout or pyroclasm wich is quite boring but now here come hidden gibons wich is very good againts themand the relic wich slow them down. its just a bit differant but still the whole picture stay the same


Merfolk best card: VEXING SHUSHER 55/45

well here the match is a lot more diferant. he is more aggresive than you and in a couple turn he will beat the hell outta you whith is new boost up merfolk thats why the shusher is so ridiculous they simply cannot deal with it you resolve you combo all the time the only thing is to do it fast

with their vial your armagedon commonly end up dead and 1 more shusher is just perfect. they will probably side in their jitte which can a pain in the a.. but always remember your maze wich can be a life saver

ok the main change well

no archangel anymore, why? well cause know i have the fink oran rief trick wich is just easier to put and is awsome in just so many match. it kill aggro straight

no more vexing shusher too, well i got tired of them you see it was the bomb againts CB wich i already had a good match and againts merfold and i found that fink was a better card overall againts them especially with oran rief god i love this card

and the last change gideon: what why this guy? he cost five!? well in this deck is not that of a problem and it wrecks aggro stone cold, but i gotta say that my meta is currently overflooded whit aggro deck so thats why its so good, still testing thaught

about the sideboard well the board is getting better and better the bog is an amazing addition and ill never play without 4 teeg in the side from now on. the 3 slot are metacall i guess its up to you

Hey Hugo, Its good to see your deck up here, I had no idea it was here

I've just got to say to everyone that having seen the deck in action on multiple occasions, it's actually really good. There is a high amount of synergy and the fact that sylvan library and armaggedon exist allows it to blow people out of the water. The deck also has a pretty good record locally, and I would definitely say it is 'established' in and of itself (having been around in a recognizable form for about a year now)... Anyway, before making an automatic change to Survival I would highly recommend testing with it as is.

About the deck - how do you feel about the aggro matchups these days? Its rampant around here and I have been tweaking my deck against it too (Gideon seems awesome), and so far Wall of Roots has been doing really well for me. What are your thoughts on it? I suppose it would just take the place of the birds, so do they have a specific role as being a 1-drop or do they just help you get to 4 on T3?

Also, my gut is saying that a deck like this (lots of non-flying creatures, nice land-destruction finish) would want a bit more removal than 4 StP... On that note, though, Gideon seems perfect because he taunts everyone so you can alpha strike next turn...

Lastly, have you had any trouble with planeswalkers on the other side of the table? If they get dropped pre-geddon then it could get tough
