Re: [Worlds 2009] Top 4 National Teams Legacy decks
Notice that the Top 4 is determined by the combined score of all teammates - from 4 rounds of team multi-format competition (9 points each win) as well as 18 rounds of individual play.
While we're at it, the Legacy metagame:
Merfolk: 11
Dredge: 4
Canadian Threshold: 4
Ad Nauseam Tendrils (ANT): 3
Countertop Control: 3
White Stax: 3
Zoo: 3
Goblins: 2
Goblin Charbelcher: 2
Eva Green: 2
Dark Depths: 2
Grindstone / Painter’s Servant: 2
Landstill: 1
Reanimator: 1
Elves!: 1
Full English Breakfast: 1
Affinity: 1
42 Lands: 1
All-In Red: 1
Burn: 1
Deadguy Ale: 1
Protean Hulk: 1
Re: [Worlds 2009] Top 4 National Teams Legacy decks
Any chance for decklists?
I really like to see the Full English Breakfast, All-In Red and Dark Depths lists.
Re: [Worlds 2009] Top 4 National Teams Legacy decks
The coverage blog has FEB and I think Depths. Can't get the link now.

Re: [Worlds 2009] Top 4 National Teams Legacy decks
Thanks! But somehow those two lists (FEB, Depths) look strange/suboptimal...
Depths: 3 USea, 1 WGrave split!?
FEB: only 15 blue cards inclusive FoW and far too many gimmicks.
Re: [Worlds 2009] Top 4 National Teams Legacy decks
Interesting how only three ANT decks were present and two in the top 4, and only one Landstill and that is in the top 4 as well.
Also, "Lukas Jaklovsky, China" . . . WTF? That sounds even stranger than Wong's Steak House.
Lastly, I need a n00b moment: what is All-In Red?
Re: [Worlds 2009] Top 4 National Teams Legacy decks
All-In Red is basically the Extended version of Dragon Stompy. Chrome Mox, Rite of Flame, and Seething Song accelerate into Magus of the Moon, Deus of Calamity, and Demigod of Revenge.
Re: [Worlds 2009] Top 4 National Teams Legacy decks
Am I the only one who thinks that Wizards suck at giving out information about the big sideevents?
Re: [Worlds 2009] Top 4 National Teams Legacy decks
I'm most interested in see the complete list of the Legacy portion of teams, of course. But as long as we don't have them, it would be nice to see specifically the most sucessful Legacy lists, those that won more matches without the aid of the EXT and STD ones. For sure there must be one or two undefeated lists, or close to this at least...

LOL
I'm surprised Landstill got there with 11 Merfolk on the field.
Zoo: 3

In fact, he is from Czech Republic. I used to despise him heavily, but since he is banned from our gaming club, I like him more than ever before.

Well, he's about 18 years old and sucks at being human.
E.g.: Some guy lost his binder with cards that averaged hundreds of dollars. He left a phone number in our shop if anyone finds the stuff.
This sucker and yet another retard called the guy, said that they found it, but unluckily they are leaving for the GP the morning after. But they are willing to give him the binder before they depart, but he must reach them on the airport at 03:00 AM. Needs any explanation? No, they did not have the cards, the guy was there in that horrible time, etc... Imbeciles
Another story: Sucker destroys the table at a local gaming club just out of boredom... Etc.
Unfortunately he has some 70 pounds with boots and bedstead.. what can one do with such an offal?
Oh, and he is very attractive person, too. One picture is worth a thousand words:

See? The crew haircut with fringe. How lovely! And we have glasses, too! Very pretty.

Hmm. He looks pretty light. What about reviving your proud window-fu traditions?
Re: [Worlds 2009] Top 4 National Teams Legacy decks
You're scared of such a nerdy skinny teenager?
Re: [Worlds 2009] Top 4 National Teams Legacy decks
11 merfolk lists and 2 ANT make t4?
Am I missing something, or did these Merfolk decks never get matched up vs the combo? Turn 1 Cursecatcher is a fucking pain in the ass.

In other words, this Top 4 is about as meaningful as a nine-person tournament in Pyongyang with Force of Will banned, a Level 5 judge from MWSPlay, and a night of sex with Cavius for top prize.

Yeah, I'm scared.
I'm scared that if I just sneeze aloud, he may go to pieces.

I have no idea what Alexsandr is rambling on about but it's hysterical to read.
