As always, first streaming of the day gives great emotions. Skill over 9000.
I usually try not to be too hard to people on camera but this match has been appalling. Just so many misplays.
The guy with the indoor sunglasses could have won by Porting the control player's land. Instead, he gave him enough mana to Toxic Deluge.
Maybe he couldn't read what Port says because of his sunglasses. He also tapped Rest In Peace and tried to use it for mana.
What was the dice thing all about in the end? I thought they were counting additional turns but they didn't stop at five. Maybe sounds would have told what's going on but I'm watching muted stream so I'm just baffled.
Thanks. No wonder nothing made sense.
There were many other reasons, but at least that one could be logically explained.
Would it really be so hard to ask around for some local Legacy "specialists" who might not have had byes, so the feature match could actually feature something? Plus it would be a nice nod to the local community.
Tusks up! #freenedleeds
These guys still represent the average player. People are too spoiled by watching only pros play on camera.
Have we taken bets on what is going to top 8? I'm assuming 28/32 Brainstorm and 28/32 DRS, assuming that 1 Dragon Stompy/D&T player who managed to dodge all of their bad matchups/Lands player who managed to dodge lotus petals/Eldrazi player who is playing legacy for the first time manages to top 8.
Usually Legacy GP's have 16-20/32 Brainstorms in the top 8, and then the top 32 is 88/96, and Wotc gets to pretend everything is fine.
I'm thinking at least half will be some combination of Czech Pile and Grixis Delver.
wow guys, page 1 and the Brainstorm bitching? really?
Monoblue Minotaurs 3-1 currently!
