Agreed and working on it. Nomads En-Kor make great chump blockers w/ nemesis & could help you from having to sac nemesis to innocent blood types. Could be too cute, though, as I am guessing Pariah is. There wouldn't be enough space for Martyrdom though that's really funny.
Keep brainstorming, though.
Re: [SCD] Identity Nemesis
Let's not forget its second creature type... Rogue.
Prowl
Thieve's Fortune .... Grow Tarmogoyf grow!

Yeah... I've been musing over the possibilities of UG rogue.
Invisible Stalker
Silhana Ledgewalker
Identity Nemesis
Are evasive rogues with hexproof (or better).
The deck could also plausibly play a clone effect:
Phantasmal Image
The problem is that the rogue tribal stuff is mostly not so great.

Exactly. The prowl cards aren't that great either.... Nevertheless it's interesting.

Nice Bant Hexproof deck around for Legacy.
Re: [SCD] Identity Nemesis
Phantasmal Image can't be enchanted, but well, a 3/1 pro:hexproof guy for :1::u: is quite solid on it's own.
Time to hoard them?
Re: [SCD] Identity Nemesis
I want to fit Nemesis into AJ Sacher's Intuition / AK deck: http://www.starcitygames.com/article...Intuition.html
With Sapphire Medallion, you can cast Nemesis and Clique for UU, Jace for 1UU, Supreme Verdict for UWW, Intuition for 1U, AK for U, Snapcaster Mage for U... I think Supreme Verdict might be good in a True-Name Nemesis meta...
I think it would also be awesome in Faerie Stompy, and they have started discussing the card in the thread: http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/s...-Stompy/page16

Nor ninjutsu. Nor saboteur effects like Curiosity. There might be something with equipment and Rancor though.
Re: [SCD] Identity Nemesis
i think he fits into UW very well.
Since he is an aggro card he will be be in an aggro deck most likely along side delver and phantasmal image. With Jitte he is the go to creature and can control an aggro matchup. How do you get jitte, well with SFM. White also contributes cards like thalia, karakas, and canonist to deal with combo decks. For what they can't do you can still fall back on blue's counterspell's and tempo cards. Just depends on how you want to play it.
The UW combination offers supreme verdict/terminus, some of the most popular answers to TNN, which would be important for a meta filled with them.

I used to love playing Pariah; Worship might just be better though.

The joys of FLGS; ordered four at $34 each (which is about $4 less than standard price for UK). Online retailers have put the price up to $67

Worship may be AD-proof, but has no uses aside from "not dying". And even that is debateable, since they can still easily beat you down to 1 and kill you with a DRS activation while Pariah makes you immune to their damage and forces them to go the long way with their DRS activations.

it depends how you build your deck. I doubt either card is good enough for tier 1 Legacy. Worship works great with any creature, especially Mishra's Factory. Periah is going to a speed bump on almost anything but Nemisis and if they have an answer to Nemesis you lose both cards, even Skull Crack will now kill Nemesis. I would rather focus on just killing Shaman or having life gain (Jitte), or just play RIP so Shaman is useless.
Re: [SCD] Identity Nemesis
The only place this has any use is in some kind of mono-U stompy, I think.
Not merfolk, as that's combo-aggro in some way, but a more traditional tempo-deck featuring stuff like clique/this guy/delver and creatures of that nature.
In such a deck, I'd play 2 swords and a jitte I think, most likely Fire and Ice and Feast and Famine.
I would simply love to play against this guy with grixis/UWR/Rug delver all day long.

I would accept that challenge all day. U/r or U/b drops those decks easily now. If you don't think he's going into Merfolk, you're actually just hopeless. He's not just a creature, it's a reliable win condition for decks that didn't used to have one. Stuff that peters out mid-lategame just doesn't anymore. I think combo is the only deck that wants to play against this...
Re: [SCD] Identity Nemesis
Lol one just went for 68 dollars on ebay. He's definitely good but I don't think he's $68 good.

 that's an insane amount of money for a new card. That's in the range of the fetches already.
Re: [SCD] Identity Nemesis
If I put True-Name Nemesis, Temporal Mastery, and Lorescale Coatl into a deck together, do I just win Legacy?
I think that True-Name Nemesis is good, but it's not clear to me that it's better than the cards it must displace in order to see play. Is True-Name Nemesis better than Vendilion Clique and Tombstalker in Team America? How many can Merfolk afford to run? Does one of the Stoneforge decks want this three drop to carry equipment, and if so, do you run it over or in addition to Lingering Souls? I don't see Canadian Thresh suddenly running a three-drop. I honestly don't know the answers to these questions, but I doubt that it's 4x True-Name Nemesis in every case.
Will True-Name Nemesis see Legacy play? You betcha. Is it format defining? Probably not, but it might shift things around some, and that's healthy.

People who rush buy on Ebay are the lowest tier. The same people who will be lining up to buy Earthcraft's for $40 the day it gets unbanned only to see it back at a $15 card a month later.
Every WalMart in the US is about to be selling the deck for less than that. I wouldn't sweat it too much.
I think this guy is strong but his hype level is off the charts right now. I think he'll see play but he's not gonna turn the format upside down like some people are saying. I don't think he's the second coming of Goyf/Delver/Deathrite.
Re: [SCD] Identity Nemesis
Watch one of the new cards be an easy sure fire answer to Nemesis that can only be had by purchasing a different commander deck...That would be sleazy.

We'll see about that. Just the fact that we think about that a cmc3 creature at 1UU might have a similar format warping effect like some of the best creatures ever printed at U, 1G and B/G tells you something about the strength. As I stated a couple of pages ago I do see it format warping as it gives blue so much it did not have before (hexproof/unblockable agressive finisher, best ground defensive), making other cards at cmc3 and cmc4 obsolete or much less attractive (Lingering Souls, Tombstalker, Geist, Jace).
Fair matchups will be a lot more about this guy. Imagine Deathrite into Nemesis. If you don't deal with deathrite you take 5 a turn. If you deal with deathrite you still either got to race nemesis or find one of the rare tools to deal with it.
