It's kind of a red Phyrexian Arena. Under the radar, but could help some decks out there.

Hard to say how the extra mana (and off-color? :really: ) is going affect its playability compared to YP since it has a stronger body and stronger, potentially more resiliant tokens. I wouldn't be suprised if we see come kind of UWR shell which runs both Monastery Mentor and Young Pyromancer.
Looks like the powerlevel of Fate Reforged is going to be pretty decent, although I hate how all interesting cards are essentially tailor-made for blue-based shells, with Grandmaster maybe going into some kind of RW Burn deck.
Looks like the new year starts kinda expensive for white players of all formats.
Helm of Awakening + Top + Top + Monastery Mentor could be worth looking at. Obviously Altar of the Brood is cheaper, but Monastery Mentor is really good outside of the combo. Monastery Mentor can also be cast off of Cavern of Souls.
Why in the hell is Monastery Mentor mythic?
He's very good, but not back-breaking in Limited and he's not all that big/complex. Seems like this set's Voice of Resurgence. Can't wait to hear Wizard's excuse this time...
