Re: [Deck] R/G Combo Lands
Alternate win conditions are great thing to have in my opinion and primetime is a really fun one. My only knock against him is that he is kind of slow when he isn't getting shown onto the battlefield. Usually that doesn't matter too much but it would be really nice to get something nearing primetime's power level for a few less mana.
I had a weird game 2 against grixis delver yesterday where I just beat him down with dark confidant through 2 blood moons and a pithing needle thanks to a mox diamond. He had locked himself out of most of his blue mana so he only had 2 ambush viper snapcasters as interaction and I could deal with both using a punishing fire and a decay. It was really fun to go the distance with a single confidant and wouldn't have happened if I didn't have something completely unrelated to the main plan to gamble for.
I think even a single molten vortex in normal punishing fire builds can help serve this role so there are lots of directions people can explore.

I think two Titans are best (unless you play in a Show and Tell heavy meta!) and they start in the sideboard. To maximize the Titan's presence you need more lands and fewer spells because it's important to reach 6 mana. Powering up Moxes and just playing six lands can just end the game.
My 75 right now are:
3 Crop Rotation
4 Punishing Fire
4 Exploration
4 Gamble
4 Life from the Loam
4 Mox Diamond
1 Manabond
4 Wasteland
4 Grove of the Burnwillows
1 Karakas
1 Bojuka Bog
1 The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale
4 Rishadan Port
4 Thespian's Stage
3 Taiga
1 Forest
1 Wooded Foothills
1 Windswept Heath
1 Misty Rainforest
1 Glacial Chasm
3 Dark Depths
2 Tranquil Thicket
1 Riftstone Portal
3 Maze of Ith
Sideboard
4 Krosan Grip
3 Sphere of Resistance
2 Chalice of the Void
2 Primeval Titan
1 Pithing Needle
2 Choke
1 Cursed Totem
(I'm testing Riftstone Portal now, it might become Ghost Quarter.)

My list isn't running Karakas (since it seems weak to me), but if you fetch it with Titan it does seem like it would be awesome.

Sideboard games against Sneak & Show end almost always the same way: They cast Show & Tell and put in Emrakul or Griselbrand and I put in Titan. I search up Wasteland/Port and Karakas. Then they lose. The Needle shores up the Sneak Attack weakness and forces them into the Show & Tell plan (then they probe, see Titan and concede).
Re: [Deck] R/G Combo Lands
I'm new to the combo lands forum. I'm in the process of putting lands together. Just a quick question that may have already been addressed here. Has anyone talked about playing The Gitrog Monsterw in the sideboard of the black splash version?

@ CovenantElite30: welcome! I haven't given much thought about the card. Could you come up with a some pro's and cons yourself, and maybe share it with us?
@ all: I was thinking about the manabase for a list splashing black, but without Vortex. So, I first tried RGbCL with Vortex, and then decided to go back to a build without Vortex. I came up with the following list:
Spells (15)
3 Abrubt Decay
4 Crop Rotation
4 Life from the Loam
4 Gamble
Other Spells (11)
3 Punishing Fire
4 Exploration
4 Mox Diamond
Lands (34)
1 Forest
1 Bayou
1 Bojuka Bog
1 Glacial Chasm
1 The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale
1 Verdant Catacombs
1 Wooded Foothills
2 Windswept Heath
2 Tranquil Thicket
2 Taiga
3 Grove of the Burnwillows
3 Dark Depths
3 Maze of Ith
4 Wasteland
4 Rishadan Port
4 Thespian's Stage
Sideboard (15)
1 Dark Depths(?)
1 Karakas
2 Boil(?)
2 Duress
2 Krosan Grip
3 Dark Confidant
4 Thoughtseize
- four fetch, and four fetchables,
- three Dark Depths, three Grove,
- no Riftstone Portal,
- no Manabond.
As always, comments and questions are appreciated.

I would strongly consider Urborg in the black build. I'd also cut a Crop Rotation for a real land, maybe Bayou.

Just one remark: do you have enough black for the sideboard discard?
Long ran 8 lands (6fetch, bayou, bog), which is probably a minimum, and you have 6.
As already mentioned, I'd include a bayou/fetch and Urborg in the 75 too.
Ofcourse, what to cut - in the side you could drop Karakas and Boil.
Karakas because it needs things like Needle or Primetime to be good, and you have the discard instead.
And Boil, because the discard works well versus Miracles too.
Still, that's the side and you probably want these 2 lands (or at least the Bayou/fetch) in the main.
You can drop/sideboard a maze of Ith as you have 3 decays that remove creatures as well.
And Bog, how convenient it can be in the main, could be in the sideboard too.
You could also keep the Urborg in the side and maindeck it in the combomatchup along the discard, as it conveniently makes you combo on 3 lands (Stage, Depths, and croprot a greenland away for Urborg)

Another RG video set:
Leagues #11
Sorry to disappoint, but I don't think I'll be doing another black-splash set for a while.

Has the black-splash not being doing good online?
In my testing I love having abrupt decay main.

No, the black-splash looks to be doing great online. I just prefer RG.
Re: [Deck] R/G Combo Lands
Thanks to both Rivfader and Barcode. Regarding both your comments: rock a second Bayou, I'm all about that, but really what to drop? Solid suggestions were given, I haven't made a decision yet.
I think I will put Urborg in my SB though.
Re: [Deck] R/G Combo Lands
One of the thickets seems like the best choice to me. It's a painful cut but there aren't that many options and you'll still have one in the deck. Otherwise you have to start looking at things like maze #3 or stage #4 and I really don't like cutting those in gamble builds.
EDIT: You could cut a rotation too. It cuts down a virtual source but having the extra land in the deck is something too.

Thanks for the set of videos per usual. Still rooting for your upcoming 5-0 run!

This was a good set. That game 1 vs burn was pretty great. I was especially amused when he said that Punishing fire win con was boring.
I *THINK* that in game 3 of match 1 vs burn you maybe took an extra 2 damage from a goblin guide that you didn't necessarily have to by cycling a tranquil thicket main phase instead of using P fire on the guide. I don't think it cost the game or anything, but my philosophy in the burn MU is to preserve my life total as much as possible, and cycling there didn't seem to add any value.

Hey, thanks. I'll probably get there eventually.

Yeah, that game one was pretty sweet. Getting there right before I was toast.
You're probably right game 3. I just love cycling Thicket, though. I'm also not sure I boarded correctly. Sphere effects vs. Burn? What's the verdict?

I want Chalices and Spheres vs Burn.
It sucks because they both fight with Crop Rotation for Chasm, which is basically a hard lock.

Yeah, this was crossing my mind too. Unfortunately Depths #4 was cut to make room for Grove. I decided to try this:
Lands (35)
1 Forest
1 Bojuka Bog
1 Glacial Chasm
1 Tranquil Thicket
1 The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
1 Verdant Catacombs
1 Wooded Foothills
2 Windswept Heath
2 Bayou
2 Taiga
3 Grove of the Burnwillows
3 Dark Depths
3 Maze of Ith
4 Wasteland
4 Rishadan Port
4 Thespian's Stage
Maybe cut Maze nr. 3 for Depths nr. 4, because of moving Crop Rotation nr. 4 to the side. I now have 8 B-sources, 9 R-sources, and 15 G-sources (I didn't Crop Rotation).

I've had very good results vs burn with minimal boarding. I bring in molten vortex/seismic assault, chalice of the voids. Then I mulligan aggressively to a hand that can either
1) combo quickly
2) set up an early glacial chasm lock
So for example in game 3, the line I would have taken is cast mox discarding thicket, play taiga, pass the turn with P fire up for their 1 drop. On turn 2 I would have played depths and gambled for stage. It could obviously back-fire if I discard the stage, but IMO it is the best line for conserving life and getting the combo as quick as possible.
