So, I've been playtesting a variant of Ali Aintrazi's "Loam pox". I took a cue from the man himself and cut the Cursed Scrolls, adding a Worm Harvest and two Barren Moors. I never got much use of the Hexmage / Dark Depths-combo, so I cut Vampire Hexmage, Volrath's Stronghold and Dark Depths, adding two Maelstrom Pulses and a Syphon Life. The Syphon Life will help in matchups against burn (which are obviously incredibly bad), and the Maelstrom Pulses will give me a way to take out bothersome permanents, including planeswalkers (which was the only good thing the hexmage did, really).
The Tabernacle was a pretty big problem when I wanted to use Worm Harvest. The two cards really don't synergize. Also, Tabernacle never really did a lot for me in most matchups, so it was relegated to the sideboard.
