Flying into Ottawa & seeing about catching a ride or bus down (assuming no issues with Border Polizei...) might also be a more affordable option. Ottawa is less than 3 hours away from Syracuse by car (not including time spent at the border with men wearing rubber gloves....).

Kirtar's Desire did what it was supposed to do against Mask. I might still play it over Hoofprints of the Stag or Exalted Angel. And as the guy who brought you Null Chamber and Dovescape (that's right, BOTH), I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about.

So would have Seal of Cleansing. Not that Mask was ever worth meta-gaming against.

Null Chamber was always a fringe card, and is now completely irrelevant.

Dovescape is good as SB material.

Somehow I think Elephant Grass, Solitary Confinement, Ground Seal, Gaea's Touch and Karmic Justice are all a little more relevant to the deck's current strength.

PS: You would play Kirtar's Desire over Angel? In what meta-game? That's horrible.



re: Zach - If so, we should also sign Elephant Grasses to go with them. Since you can't pimp them through the convention methods. Although I don't know about our odds of finding this "Tony Roberts" fellow to sign.

The wife commes back wensday from her trip to her parents in Scotland. As soon as she get's here, I'll talk to her about it. I know the estimated costs right now, so I'll convince her and see if I have some room in my bank account.

Spending +/- 700 euro for a weekend fun without a possibility of me earning it back (a playset duals plus some extra's arent going to cover that, besides it's been ages since my last accomplishment, top4 in the source tournament) is going to use soms fast talking I'm afraid. I also have to rebuild the bathroom, so talking fast might not seal the deal.

I really hope to make it, however I'm getting the feeling I won't.

I might also just buy some more lottery tickets, see if god really likes me.

@Atwa: Orbitz.com is supposed to give you good prices, though this is just odd: Venice-Amsterdam-NY-Syracuse and back is $1004 after taxes, with the latter two flights being Northwest Airlines. But if I ask Northwest Airlines for a flight from Amsterdam to Syracuse and back, I get $1600 after taxes just for that. Bah...

My round trip flight from Albany to Indianapolis ran at $400 after taxes on United Airlines, but from Travelocity it ended up being just over $200.

Flying from Dusseldorf is the cheapest so far. I could also fly from Antwerpen for E20 more (which I'll save in gas if I do), however, that would include a trainticket to Amsterdam, which is cheaper than just fly from Amsterdam directly. Airlines are strange sometimes.

I dropped my wife off at Dusseldorf fryday. On her ticket it said I should bring here to Dusseldorf. When I get there, they tell me I'm at the wrong airport and that I should go to the other Dusseldorf airport. Which is in Weeze. Weeze is 70 miles away from Dusseldorf!!! I was really glad I was there on time, It took me another hour to get to the right airport, stupid germans...

E1000 is way too much, I already have found flights to New York for half that price. Are you also comming Nihil?

It was $1000 actually, so about €650, but if you found it for even less, good for you. As for me, I won't in all likelihood make the trip - the next few hundred euros I spend on Legacy will definitely be playsets of staples.

Dear People who want an entire artist-signed-Zach-signed-Matt-signed Enchantress Deck;

If you will make contact with the artist of the cards and confirm that they're cool with signing shit and sending it back (this will be difficult with the dude in England) I will take care of the rest. But, like, I can't call England on my cell phone plan. Just won't work. So, I'm asking you to:

1. Make contact and make sure that the artist is alive (not being macabre at all - one of the brothers who did Akroma's Vengance maybe died, unfortunately, a couple years ago) and will consent to signing the playset of cards that I send out.
2. Make sure that they don't want to be paid or any other shit. 'Cause, like, I'm totally fine sending back a self-addressed, post-paid envelope. But I ain't paying shit to some asshole trying to fleece me for fifteen seconds to sign four pieces of cardboard.
3. Confirm that the cards won't sit on the artist's desk or mailbox for three months. Like, that they'll be punctual (as opposed to that Portent chick who still has the portents, as far as I know.
4. I guess that's it. <3 the list function.

You should probably just get the entire list between the two of you, and give away one copy of the entire thing as a specific prize. Or something.

If we skip the manabase, the Moat, and the Explorations, I'd be down.
