What is the average price around you guys for Dark Confidant? I can't belive it's 30+ $... Also another question for those who can value foil cards: Is it a good price to buy english Sensei's Divining Top foil for 32-35$?

Yeah the lowest I've seen set foil tops in the past couple of months is $40 they're tredning more towards 50 lately.

I discovered that one of my Natural Orders from Visions is off-center to the right. There's no other card visible on the left, but the black on the left edge is about 1.5x as thick as it should be (front and back), and about .5x as thick as it should be on the right. Does this make it worth more? Where do you find people interested in that sort of thing?

When I saw foils at $35 a couple months ago, I snap-called. The card is distinctly named and very powerful in every format it's not banned in.

A bit, though not quite as much as if you could see another picture. Keep in mind that to many people, this will lower the value. You have to find someone who collects misprints/miscuts to really get additional value out of the card.

I could see people putting a premium on it for an EDH deck, miscut is rarer and its a card unavailable in foil so it would be visually different enough to be pimp.

They have DCI judge foil Natural Orders. Been out for a while really.

As of today, SCG bumped the price from $49.99 to $59.99. If anyone is interested, CFB still have them at $49.99.
edit: I've also noticed the price of FOIL Progenitus has doubled from $24.99 to $49.99 in just over a year.

Yeah, except that shocklands will eventually get reprinted, unlike dual lands. Many are saying this could happen as soon as the block after Innistrad. When this happens, prices will drop back down to 7-15.

Maybe, but for now Hallowed Fountain and Breeding Pool go through the roof.....and non blue are very slowly are following the lead.

Modern is a joke. On MTGO, for instance -
Tropical Island [ME4] 17.25 (sell price)
Breeding Pool [DIS] ~24 (sell price)
I can't take this format seriously when the inferior land is worth more than the original.

Because of speculation. No one is playing Modern, and it isn't even officially announced yet. Now is a good time to sell if you ask me.

Well, its magic online, not magic "real paper" - so it is kinda obvious that a limited printrun on the old duals combined with the uprising number of legacy players mainly kept the prices rising while as Ravnica Block was printed in a larger number.
Also, why would you compare the sell and buy prices?
Why not compare the sell prices OR the buy prices with each other?
Also, how can a card be called inferior? You can't go on and say that it is ridiculous that for example a Sol Ring is worth less than a Grim Monolith - allways keep in mind where which card is or would be legal. From the modern point of view the Shockduals are not inferior, they are the only Duals one could play due to format restrictions :)

Because Supernova doesn't have any to sell, and didn't list a price. I saw last night it was at 24 tix sell price.

Right now Modern is actually less of a format than Extended is. At least I saw ONE game of Extended being played at GenCon compared to zero games of Modern. Seems like the only time anyone ever talks about Modern is when they are trying to trade off Ravnica Shocklands.

Because that is going to be up to the individual player. Some players on MODO might have their entire legacy collection already and want to play modern as well and need the shock duals. Some people might not find Modern to be the "inferior" format compared to legacy because there is no force fo will (as an example)....
You can't put a blanket statement out there and say that one format is superior to the other. It's a matter of preference, and some people might prefer to play modern.

Which of course is complete bullshit. Everything else aside Modern only "exists" because Legacy cards are so expensive. No one would have been asking for a format between Legacy and Extended otherwise and the #1, #2, and #3 top reasons for creating the format boil down to people wanted to play Legacy but it was way too expensive. Sorry but Legacy is obviously the superior format, Modern is the inferior format. Some people may indeed prefer to play Modern, but most would rather be playing Legacy.

I think the main reason for that though is that Ravinca duals have only been printed (online) once and the Duals were recently reprinted which dropped their price a bit from what I recall.
