Re: Raise, raise, raise. The price of cardboard
And given the prohibitive cost of the lands the new format will use (which is quite ridiculous), people might as well turn be attracted to Legacy instead of Modern. Say the shocks get a reprint after Innistrad at best, well, that's in a long while, all things considered. The "damage" will be done.
People fearing any harm to the Legacy scene with Modern fear not. As long as the staples get pricier, people won't shy away from Legacy... if anything, more could be attracted to it.

I can't take this format seriously when the inferior land is worth more than the original.
I don't take Modern seriously either, but I disagree with the logic:
Strip Mine [4E] 2.70
Wasteland [TE] 46.15

OH MY GOD, ON MTGO, SOME OF THE LANDS ARE WORTH MORE THAN THE LEGACY DUALS.
Here's some more facts on mtgo
Force of Will [ME] 128.00
Cryptic Command [LRW] 8.00
there's also ya know; real life when Trop is worth about 3 times breeding pool
Vindicate is about $80 on mtgo
Pernicious deed is 45
lions eye diamond is 95

If it was a choice between MTGo vs Paper, then some of your argument would make sense.

I'm not comparing synonym utility cards or "nearly similar" counters.
I'm comparing Dual Lands.
Learn the difference, and you'll look like less of a baffoon.

Ok, which one of you jackasses went and bought every copy of Woodfall Primus from every online store?

Re: Raise, raise, raise. The price of cardboard
It's been that way for awhile. It's very popular in Commander.

Re: Raise, raise, raise. The price of cardboard
Is the reason Thoughtseize is so expensive mostly because of Extended? It sees Legacy play, but that alone can't justify the fact that it's 15-20$.

Yeah, I knew about but forgot about it the judge foil at that time. No one will want a slightly miscut Natural Order for more than a normal one then.

Unlike many Legacy staples, it's also a Vintage staple. In fact, it's probably more important in Vintage than in Legacy.

Yeah, I think it was somewhere around 15-ish when it was Standard legal and seen play in Extended and Legacy and I don't recall it ever getting lower than that which is a bit odd. It's certainly good but I'm not sure if it's worth quite that much.

At this point, the 2nd highest bidder should just bid $820 if he really wants the Bob that bad :P

Free shipping? That does it for me. I bought a box of Russian Ravnica. I don't remember what my foil rares were though.
