Yeah I had a couple versions, but I have tomorrow off so I'll go through them tonight and try to post one later.

It's easy! Just put a single Progenitus or Blightsteel Colossus in your deck. If you put 2 in, then its an auto-draw because of the grindstone loop. If you only put 1 in, grindstone can't trigger because of only 1 in the library. Then if you need to buy yourself another turn, you should keep a couple cards in your hand. The turn after they grind you, draw the Prog or Colossus and discard them with Phantasmagorian to buy yourself another turn if you need it. However, you should be good to just cabal therapy for red elemental blast and pyroblast just to dread return for the win.

Haha I appreciate, but I meant to transform you Manaless Dredge in a Painter deck, not to play against one :)
EDIT: I think the guy I talked with confused Painter and HelmRiP combo. So yeah, how to play Helm without mana!?

Manaless Dredge doesn't have that particular transformational option because it doesn't run lands, nor does it run Careful Study or Faithless Looting. Siding into a Painter deck would require more than 15 cards.
Re: [Deck] Manaless Ichorid
You have probably seen led dredge with painterstone. If i'm not wrong, it's the list of a player who posts here on the source. It should be in the dredge topic. As ESG said, we don't really have that option.

You can however play TS +DD with LftL with the old list as a transformational sideboard. Just an idea I have been messing with.

I like the concept as I am a large fan of transformational sideboards but when would you board into this? It has the same weakness as the main plan does (grave nukes) and is likely much slower and more prone to removal. I would love for it to work though :)

Like I said, just an idea I have been toying with. 4 of each land , SP and three additional free draw cards and it might work out rather well.
Re: [Deck] Manaless Ichorid
I was goldfishing the deck to keep my skills on par with the rest, and during my test I think the Dredge Gods wanted me to get a crazy hand.
GGT, Street Wraith, Nether Shadow, Dryad Arbor (3 irrelevant cards)
Draw Thug, discard GGT
EoT Cycle
Dredge GGT revealing (Narcomoeba, Griselbrand, Narcomoeba, Phantasmagorian, Dread Return, Bridge from Below)
Pretty straight forward after that!
Now, why can't I hit this during tournaments? -_-

You know that you actually have to cast the Loam? That means you need at least a G-Source in your opening hand in addition to another one or crappy dakmor salvages in your deck^^ seems not that good imo.
Re: [Deck] Manaless Ichorid
Well you don't need a G source in your opening if you play Riftstone Portal !
Just dredge 2 Dakmore Salvages out and voilá.. after just 3 turns doing pretty much nothing you can cast loam to get 2 lands to do nothing for 2 more turns !

I realise that hence me saying I don't see how it could be effective :) . Probably a slight miscommunication there but no worries.

Also any word on new primer?
Re: [Deck] Manaless Ichorid
I would love to know about the primer as well, but if Hollywood doesn't want to continue it, I would understand.
EDIT: There was a Top 8 (SCG) with Manaless Dredge, run by Geo Thornton
Re: [Deck] Manaless Ichorid
Loam in a deck with no lands? Brewing innovation right thur.

Since people have heads up their fourth point of contact let me clarify. Old lists ran Dryad Arbor w/ lands in the side. So....lands that produce mana allow you to do what?
Was everyone under the impression that Nature's Claim cast itself?
Enjoy your "Derp" moment.
Re: [Deck] Manaless Ichorid
I have seen arbor here with the bloodghast, but loam is going too deep. This makes you more yard dependant and you already run less lands than normal Ichorid. Is this worth the speed and sb slots you lose just for cage? You also have to make room the claims/bounce themselves. Sounds too diluted, but if cage is played that often in your meta and kicks you in the nuts that hard then sure. Sounds bad for muligan decisions if you want a hand to handle cage burning off your hand and waiting for a discard outlet with a loam in hand being dead. Ya loam can get 3 lands to back up to 8 ideally, but unlikely to get even 2 with this deck.
I'd rather not give drs even more value.

Cage doesn't affect dredging or putting things in your hand. And with the experimental build I am testing it's an option.
Re: [Deck] Manaless Ichorid
I know it doesn't. I play vs cage with Lands and laugh.
Re: [Deck] Manaless Ichorid
Hey guys I just reached top 8 in Indianapolis. I'll have a fairly detailed tournament report up on DraftMagic within the next day or so (they're a little slow on publishing sometimes. I submitted yesterday afternoon).
People were wondering about some of my sideboard slots yesterday. I was wondering what you guys thought of the list. I can't really ask you guys about my play because I never found myself on camera, and I was pretty unlucky to run into the Maverick guy in the quarters instead of a Delver deck.
I'll be rocking dredge at the invitational next weekend unless something better comes up (something better than playing magic).
Re: [Deck] Manaless Ichorid
Congrats on the finish I look forward to the report
