The idea was being shot down. Breathe!

Sometime, I wonder if any court would let me file a restraining order on specific magic cards......
Maybe I could stop the bad ideas before they begin?
You've seen Minority Report too many times. Lol
On topic: Go, Elves!
maybe I'm just losing hope?
Time for me to take out either TES or FISH for a ride.
I need to get my head clear of all the stuff I've seen recently
Replying myself.
Sometimes we just have to look at think from a different angle, but i guess that people have done that so many times with this deck, My idea thou was to replace the 12 “glimpscards” with 4 Prowess of the Fair, 4 Elvish Spirite Guide and 4 Cabala Therapy. Trying to be less of a victim against fast combo game one and little better against sweepers...
Combo, you try to race G1. You need your Glimpse chain to do that. G2 you board in Ruric Thar and all your discard and Swan Songs/Mindbreak Traps (depending on your meta). Having just the 4 Therapies won't save you G1 if you weaken the racing plan.
Resilience vs. sweepers - we have Swan Song and the NO-Pro package for that, and slowrolling to bait the sweeper as a strategy in general. Often you won't face any sweepers in G1 anyway.
So... No.

On a more serious note: Ya got me, had to google the card ... and now know why. Nah, that won't help you much against combo game 1 as you often are only able to identify them then it's already too late. In many matchups the cards will have a very low impact unless you can assemble ESG + NO for a random turn 2 Ruric/Hydra God which is even easier to do with the Glimpse-package btw.
Greetings, elves players! I'm a goblins player, and I recently had an interesting mulligan desicion come up in a game versus elves. I thought I'd post it here to see things from your point of view. It was game 2 and I was on the play. Do you think this is a keep or a mulligan? What are you more afraid of?
1 Mountain
1 Goblin Lackey
1 Gempalm Incinerator
1 Chalice of the Void
1 Goblin Sharpshooter
1 Perish
1 Engineered Plague
Mull. No mana to cycle Incinerator and push Lackey through. No mana to hardcast Sharpshooter/perish/plague
Thank you for your input! The reasoning for keeping it was that drawing a land in the first two turns and playing Chalice was that it would slow the elves player down enough to win, but maybe it's just better to mulligan. Any case, it's a very high risk, high reward hand. :)
I don't think it is that obvious. How do Goblins win against elves? (can't recall ever losing to goblins).
What is more likely that mull to 6 brings a hand that wins or that you draw a land in 1-2 draw steps. The hand does have potent hate and if elves does not play deathrite they might have to trade their one drop which gives you another draw step.
Because Elves is VERY much favored and you porbably run 24 lands, I'd definitely keep it. You've got a 42% chance to draw a land there which - from my experience - is still way better than your average win% in this matchup, even postboard. Yes, you still can't pass a DRS or Nettle Sentinel here, but so what? At least you had a reasonably good chance to win this game.
Elves is on of the reasons that after 9 years, I put down Goblins. It is just such a depression match up.
Goblins: "Hi I am here to plan Aggro and Mana control."
Elves: "HAHAHAHAHAHA."
If only elves had the resilience to sweepers that goblins have... it would be perfect. Last months i usually opt to play elves instead of goblins, but when i face miracle i regret my decision... well, i guess that no deck have good matchups against everything
Sylvan Messenger** = Goblin Ringleader. But I'm not sure we want to go down that dark road. Better to just lean on careful play and card advantage via Glimpse/Best Friend Team.
**not a serious suggestion
