Try MUD Stompy imo, you probably have some awesome Metalworkers to put in there
Anyhoo, nice card. Is the -2 to indicate which testrun it is or something?
You have one heck of a crappy scanner. But that's a nice SotF

How do you tell the difference between summer magic basics and unlimited/revised ones? The reason I ask is because I live in the middle of Type 2 hell, and there are about 6 5000 count boxes worth of white bordered land at my local shop that no one has touched in ages. Also, what are they worth? It might be worth it to wade through all that garbage.....
Here's a pic:

It's fairly easy to distinguish between the three. Unlimited spelled out the word "Tap", Revised added the tap symbol, and Summer added the copyright date.
I had no idea those basics were worth anything. I could have sworn I had a few, although they may have been 4th ED, which aren't worth squat, but at first glance, look pretty similar.
Hot damn how much do those Metalworkers run you for?
Also Korean should be the only Asian language accepted at the Ol-PIMP-ic Games. That shit is HAWT
That`s HOT
I'm not sure what the numbers on the cards mean exactly, but I've posted about my best guess, which is that those with + are darker with coloured hues depending on the text border, and those with - are lighter, in increasing degrees depending on the magnitude of the number. I've asked around, even spoken to a couple of people in Wizards, but there aren't enough people from the testing period still around to give a good answer.
As for which deck, I wanted to go with white stax, but I was a bit drunk and didn't bid on the summer geddon that ended, which leaves me on 1 summer geddon. Probably not going to work out, so I might just go with 5/3 if I can complete the set of summer nauts to play next to 4 golems.
The geddon went for more than I was expecting tbh. After that $400 regrowth a few weeks ago I was hoping some more things would go for cheap, but both the geddon and dark rit hit pretty solid numbers. Oh well, at least beb is up for next week. That could be a nice addition to my collection.
I think Regrowth went for just about the correct price, as it is an uncommon after all. I remember picking up one for a lot lower than 400 a while back. Dark rit was fine, a bit lower than I would think. but that seller has pretty much sucked summer buyers dry. Geddon is a different story though. Has nostalgia and playability on its side. I was expecting close to a grand, and would have gladly taken it at that price.
Ah well, I hate merfolk, but Lord of Atlantis seems like a good consolation prize.
How much Summer magic escaped destruction? Would it be possible to build a complete summer revised set, or are some cards simply nonexistant?
Matt,
I believe it would be widely known knowledge if there was a summer magic card that may not exist. The numbers are staggeringly low though. I believe that there are at most 15 (guessing here) of any rare and far less than that for a few select rares.
Andrew77 or Occam could probably provide more exact totals using public collections as a source.
