Jupiter Games (The site in vestal) managed to acquire the location adjacent to the shop itself which we can use for the tournament location. This is convenient because the store's inventory will be available for everyone. There is plenty of food options within walking distance (Wendy's, Applebee's, Chinese Buffet, and more). These are a list of hotels within walking distance of the shop; Courtyard Marriot (607)644-1000, Marriott (607)644-9093, Hampton Inn & Suites (607)797-5000, Holiday Inn Express (607)348-0088. I recommend reserving soon because Binghamton University which is also within walking distance has parent night and they tend to book alot of rooms.

Four of the however many slots are available at Zach's place are taken up by Ninjas from the West Coast. I'm making the motherfucker pankcakes.

I'm not that particular about who we stay with, but I am fiercely holding on to the floor space we already have.

Any word on possible hotel discounts?

It shouldn't be too hard to get a local hotel to provide a discount since they're prob going to be booked full because of it.

I mean if you can't get a hotel to do any discounts then not a big deal, but it would definitely increase the odds of people who live 4+ hours away (including myself) traveling there.

The event looks A-mazing. I'll do everything I can to be there.

I spoke to several of the hotels and they are willing to make discounts for my sept. 27th tourney so I know they will do it again in the future, but the parent night at BU apparantly books all the hotels solid on the oct. 18th weekend anyway so they weren't forthcoming with the discount. Luckily hotel prices in our area tend to be on the cheaper side since we aren't really in a major city.

anyones couch or hotel room i can stay at? i would like to go but don't think i can afford it after gencon and the drive to Syracuse from chicago.

i found a motel 6 in Binghamton that was pretty reasonable, and still had rooms left, $68.99 for 3 people.

Meh. No one in my area seems to want to go to this but I'm determined to make the 5 hour ride... and crash somewhere :p

I'd also be willing to do hotel but have no one to share one with at the moment. The event is still 2 months away so by then I'm sure I'll work out something, but if anyone lives nearby who can make room for me that would be worth driving up alone.

Too bad, but I won't be able to make it.

My parents in law haven't ever come over since they moved to Scotland, however they will be comming the week this tournament is held. That really sucks, since the wife told me I could go if I wanted.

I wish everyone a very nice tournament. And some people better write some nice reports with photo's (or even video) for all of us who wish they were there, but weren't able to make it!
