Trying to finalize my list for a 60ish man legacy 1k on Sunday.
Currently on the following:

2 Misty Rainforest
1 Scalding Tarn

1 Volcanic Island
1 Tropical Island
1 Bayou
1 Island
1 Swamp
4 Lotus Petal
4 Lion's Eye Diamond
1 Sensei's Divining Top
4 Dark Ritual
4 Cabal Ritual
1 Past in Flames
1 Tendrils of Agony
1 Ad Nauseam
4 Ponder
4 Brainstorm
2 Preordain
4 Gitaxian Probe
4 Cabal Therapy
3 Duress
4 Infernal Tutor
Sideboard:
2 Xantid Swarm
3 Abrupt Decay
2 Massacre
2 Chain of Vapor
1 Empty the Warrens
Pretty stock list overall, but it's historically performed well for me.
Things that are giving me trouble:
I do have access to Grim Tutor, but I've always found the card underwhelming.. thoughts on if it's worth it?
I constantly go back and forth with putting the tropical island in the sideboard and putting a 2nd basic island in the main.
The 1 top could always be a 3rd preordain or maybe the 1 grim. Top is slow but sometimes can be so good in finding what you need.. good enough?
The biggest issue for me with storm has always been the sideboard. We can't board out/in too many cards or risk diluting our deck too much. With the above list I'm really on set on playing 2 xantid, 3 decay, and the 2 chain. I've always played massacre but am open to dread of night.. Is the fact that it doesn't kill mage or cannonist too much of a liability? I normally play 2 surgical extraction for the mirror and to have a chance vs dredge. Thoughts on the card? Also, I've noticed people playing 1-2 flusterstorm. Is the nonbo with IT too much of a risk? With the 2 surgicals and if I were to add 1 dread of night I am still at 12-13 cards.. any recommendations? City of solitude, Bob, young pyro, carpet of flowers, defense grid, etc. are all cards that I have played with in the past but it can be hard to choose between them. thoughts?

I played 7-2 Day 1, and 3-3 Day 2, got a gameloss while i was (9-2) 1-1 vs reanimater because my sleeves im my board was less weared down. (Lesson learned the hard way, change for each day)
Had a total blast with getting to my first day 2 at a GP.
I played 3 ToA, 2 PiF and 1 Grim 7 discard. Even i won atleast on game because of the Grim i would snap change my list for Pascal's list from MKM Rome
Question, what do people like most, discard or Flusterstorm vs reanimater?
+ can protect vs discard or there combo
- is cluncky when comboing your self
As i'm new for this deck please explain me for what do we need 2 tendrils in main?

What I'm noticing is that Ad Nauseam is starting to be taken out? I've read back a few pages, but couldn't find any really good reasoning, other than Kai's list which is running empty in the main instead.
Is there any particular reason for the change? I remember thinking, a year or two ago, that I hated having to use it, so I'm happy to see it go.
Also, is grim tutor just a necessary evil, and I'm going to have to pony up the cash for it? I don't like the new black ritual tutor in origins, but I read something about people running 2 PiF instead?
