Me. 8. silkster: Den of the Bugbear, Molten Slagheap, Fanatical Firebrand, Shriekmaw
1. Asthereal (TO): Havenwood Battleground, Mountain, Fanatical Firebrand, Anurid Scavenger
I knew this was LL but walked into it anyway.
LL
2. GoblinSmashmaster: Great Furnace, Goblin Welder, Insolent Neonate, Triplicate Titan
WW
3. dte: Hall of Storm Giants, Calciform Pools, Brazen borrower, Gilded Drake
I'm faster out of the gate, and I would win the long game if I could activate Slagheap, attack, then activate Slagheap again. I suspect this is a draw, but I'll have to look more closely later.
??
4. Reeplcheep: Devoted Druid, Vizier of Remedies, Thornglint Bridge, Lair of the Hydra
Vizier has 1 toughness.
WW
5. PJim: Cloudpost, Cloudpost, Glimmerpost, Steel Hellkite
Ugh, it's an artifact. I thought the Bane was better anyway.
6. Wrath of Pie: Vitu-Ghazi, the City-Tree, Saltcrusted Steppe, Eldrazi Displacer, Containment Priest
This is long and ugly. If you commit the Displacer first, Shriekmaw will win. If you commit the Priest first, Shriekmaw also wins by killing it first and then displacing Shriekmaw is embarrassing. So I can to make a Firebrand and run at you, but then you can eventually make 1/1s. And Den can't attack because if it trades with Containment Priest then I run out of mana. I think this is LL, but I'd appreciate more eyes on this.WW https://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/...=1#post1099338
LL(?)
7. alphastryk: Inkmoth Nexus, Dimir Aqueduct, Rishadan Cutpurse, Demon's Disciple
I can always hold up mana. WW
9. RoosterCocoa: Fountain of Cho, Saprazzan Cove, Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer, Riders of Gavony
I almost played Gwafa this round! You're too fast and protected.
LL
10. maxx!: Scrubland, Mutavault, Giver of Runes, Brain Maggot
Giver was the right choice here!
11. FTW: Ebon Stronghold, Quicksand, Brain Maggot, Master of the Feast
Black threat too fast. Had I been thinking clearly last round, I would have played Karakas, Ebon Stronghold, Tidehollow Sculler, and Master of the Feast, which is the spiritual successor to the winning deck I played the week before.
LL
12. Nasst: Nezumi Shortfang, Mother of Runes, Mutavault, Concealed Courtyard
I saw Shortfang in my searches today and thought its discard was embarrassingly slow, but here I am losing to it because it's black. Oof.
LL
Another sad week. I hate that Lackey would have well here.
