Thanks for reply, I made a mistake and played this deck bit more like a land.dec, with cycle land in grave I dredged loam almost every turn.

Don't worry, that's easily the most common mistake people make when they first start playing with the deck. It's one of the reasons people fight over the name of the deck all the time since it does give the wrong impression.
As soon as I'm finished with my current league I'll probably run this deck next. Anyone else played in leagues with it yet?
Got in a league match with it last night against Nic Fit. Took it down in two long games in spite of my rust and awful MODO F4/6 chops.
A little nervous about the Eldrazi Stompy matchup, but time will tell how that plays out. Anyone have thoughts on good tech against them if it proves necessary?
I know that feeling, I punted a match versus 4c delver by misclicking in my first league match, whoopsie.
Big knights and wasteland are both problems for eldrazi so I think it's really just about getting some experience versus the deck under your belt. I could see playing a second toxic deluge depending on what your board looks like if you find yourself struggling. Another option would be bringing goyf back into the zenith package so you have access to the extra beef but he's never been that great in this deck.
I've played it a few times and feel like it's pretty favorable. The best cards against them are Wasteland, Liliana, Abrupt Decay, and creatures that can beat Reality Smasher in combat. As luck would have it, we run all of those. We're not beating their most aggressive draws like Eye into double Mimic into Sol land, fatty, attack for 8-10 on turn 2, but they're similarly hard up against our best openings, and they have way more marginal cards than we do in game 1.
Sorry to double post.
I ran back the same list as before at FNM again, going 3-1 (lost to Imperial Painter, he had the turn 2 kill in game 3). Beat Grixis Delver, UWr Stoneblade, and Miracles 2-0, 2-0, 2-1). Today I went to the Tales of Adventure Legacy series 1K in Coopersburg, PA and went 4-0-1 in the Swiss, drawing into top 8. I beat Reanimator (2-1), Death and Taxes (2-1, the game I lost was to triple Wasteland, triple Stoneforge, Port) colorless Eldrazi (2-1; I lost to 15 power on turn 3 in game 2. In the other two games, Knight > Reality Smasher, Liliana and Wasteland > their deck), and 12Post (2-1, lost game 2 on a mull to 5, I had everything and he had nothing in game 3). I lost to BUG Turbo Depths in the top 8 (0-2), and that was a mixture of the deck having limited interaction and him drawing exactly what he needed in both games. In game 1 he had to draw exactly Wasteland to combo me through Maze and drew it, being dead on board otherwise, and he had Pithing Needle for my turn 2 Knight in game 2, then had Depths + Hexmage on his turn 3, leaving me on a 10-outer (4 Decay, 1 K. Command, 1 Rec. Sage, 2 GSZ, Karakas, Maze) with Confidant on the table. Bob gave me Tranquil Thicket, I drew Grove, and the cycle didn't give me what I needed. A good run all in all, good for $125 store credit (the top 8 split). That and $5 got me an Italian black-bordered Savannah. Definitely playing this at SCG Philly next weekend.
@btm10 nice finish
Took down the legacy tourney at Looking For Games picking up a cradle. I'll post a report tomorrow.
Was too tired last night to right this report, so here it is.
I played Alan Beaty's list card for card (Top 4 Super IQ Memphis) at Looking For Games in Frederick, MD. I am usually a BUG/Grixis/Storm player. I played Jeff Hooglands Aggro Loam about 2 years ago and didn't do well so I retired it quickly. With all the Eldrazi nonsense that has been floating around I wanted to play something that didn't get stoned by a turn 1 trini/COV on 1. So storm and delver out. The tourney was hoping for 30 people as top prize Tundra second prize Cradle. Plus they were hoping a lot of people would be testing for Squabbles Mox tournament starting today at 11. Sadly there was only 13. So 4 rds cut to top 4.
Round 1 - Mike playing Lands
.
G1: He wins the die roll and starts with a diamond and Maze, but no one drop. A sigh of relief rolls over since I know he can't roll me over with double waste recursion. I drop turn 1 COV on 1. He proceeds to play a land a turn as I develop my board with Confidant's/Library/ and eventually Knight. I eventually stop his 20/20 with fetching for Karakas. Had I remember earlier I could have copied his DD with my Thespian - oops.
G2: This time he has and exploration, but no loam engine. Next turn I drop a confidant which eats a p.fire. Later I decay his exploration. He drops one piece of the combo. I get a library. He drops a second piece. I can't remember if he had the mana to active it on his turn. I find a waste with my library and hold off him until a second wastes joins the party and eventually a knight.
1-0
Round 2 - My friend Mike playing Jeskai Stoneblade
G1: I win the die roll and go for an early confidant that gets swords, but a follow up sylvan helps me develop my board better against him. I eventually get a COV on 1 and he gets stoneforge to batterskull. KoTR joins as a 7/7 and the game is over in 2 with 20/20.
G2: He gets mulled to oblivion down to 5 with a 1 lander. He does not draw a second mana for 5 turns. Game over.
2-0
Round 3 -
I get paired against another good friend Jimmy playing Miracles. We both draw so we can drink. When you have a wife and kid(s) you'll understand the quality time with your friends is more important than Magic. Playing cards with them was just a bonus. We get $1.99 draft beers at the mexican restaurant nearby. After crushing 2 and ordering a 3rd the round was over so we downed those and headed back with a decent buzz.
2-0-1
Round 4 - Chris playing SnS
I will tell you you don't play as well when you are buzzed, but you don't feel bad about making mistakes. Luckily I didn't make any major mistakes that cost me the game.
G1: He wins the die roll and I have a slow start (no one drop). He quickly gets to SnT for a Sneak attack. I don't really have anything that can stop that so I'm dead.
G2: I again have a slow start and he gets to SnT once again. This time he plays Omni (from his side). I play Thalia. Now I get a little unlucky in that I was able to waste his tomb and not cast my chalice for 1 through my Thalia. On his turn he casts ponder/shuffles/to rip Emakrul. With that other play I probably still would have lost, but at least it would have given me more time to find an answer.
Maybe this is where deck experience might tell me to mulligan agressively to a hand with knight or turn 1 COV
2-1-1
Luckily one of the 2-1 got paired down and lost so with some luck my way I made it into top 4.
Redemption time - Chris playing SnS again
G1: I slowly develop the board with Chalice on 1 and 0. I attack with Gaddock teeg and Confidant to victory - SnS is very bad if it cannot cantrip to find answers and sits on tons of counter magic.
G2: He turn ones SnT for emakrul - I do not see karakas - I die
G3: Slow start again and he gets an early blood moon into omni. Luck is on my side this time as my dark confidants start the beats and go the distance to him drawing lands and forces. He dies with 7 in hand/omni/blood moon onboard.
Whew that was a close one
Last round is against my friend Jimmy.
G1: Early COV for 1 into a good play of activating lilli sac with his just played mentor into p.fire while he fetched taking it out. 20/20 came to mop things up.
G2: Much worse for him as I have multiple knights early with a COV on 1 already and gaddock teeg to stop wrath effects. Knights attack for win.
Cons - losing to SnS - someone needs to tell me how to play that match better
Pros - $1.99 draft beers
Winning it all (cradle)
making top 4 on slops 2-1-1
redemption against SnS
Watching my friend Tom Smart rage quit in round 2 after getting his second loss with Eldrazi - he was so salty
Nice job! I'd love to see some tips against S&S too; I have dodged that matchup for the most part and have no real idea of how to handle it best.
Regarding dredgable wincons: Wasn't Worm Harvest a Loam staple back in the days? Could it be something to try again?
You too! Glad that someone converted top 8 into a win. I haven't tested against Sneak a ton, but Thoughtseize/Hymn, Liliana, and Chalice are all good at holding them off, and Wasteland + Karakas (or just Knight) can complicate the Sneak Attack kill. Chalice on 0 is important to stop them from overloading Karakas by having extra red. Obviously, you also want access to enchantment removal postboard.
Worm Harvest works, but it's pretty slow at 5 mana. I think Nantuko Monastery, Mishra's Factory, or Stage/Depths are the best Dredgable wincons since they do something when you don't need the beater and raise you land count, making Mox Diamond better. I briefly tested Treetop Village and Stirring Wildwood and coming into play tapped was a significant liability.
Reflecting on my results from FNM and from yesterday, I'm probably going to cut Cabal Pit. If the deck were more interested in Loaming aggressively it would be excellent, but without a third Loam, more fetches, or some other way to dump cards into the graveyard early on I just wasn't getting Threshold often enough. The current plan is to move the sideboard Kolaghan's Command to the main and add a Tabernacle to the board. Alternatively, I might do some more tweaking to the maindeck to accomodate another GSZ and a Granger Guildmage. The last option is to add another fetch over Pit and find additional SB space elsewhere for Tabernacle.
Any thoughts on vexing shusher to combat cb/top or counters in general?
I attended a 30+ person event with volc, bayou, taiga, plat as top4 prizes. I played this list: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/naya-loam-29-04-14-1/
R1 12post
G1 my opponent has T3 Show&Tell and I can't beat the titan that comes off of it. G2 I play chalice and revoke his top. He is dead in the water I and I beat him down with random shit. Super close G3 where I revoke top and Ugin, have thalia + chalice, waste him off of colored mana. He Show&Tells in platinum emperion. Eventually bob+bob+library draw me rec sage I swing in for exactsies. Any non-fetch green source would have allowed him to win the game.
1-0
R2 Jund
He outjunds me pretty hard with T1 DRS both games into CA I can't race.
1-1
R3 Grixis Midrange
It looks like he is on delver and I play appropriately. He lands a jace and I have 3 mana sources and a knight. Nothing but knights and zeniths in hand. Instead of tempoing me out by using 3x unsummon he brainstorms and hits removal every turn. The effect is the same and I die. G2 he has a T2 blood moon and I never see a green source.
1-2
R4 Pox
I lose game 1 to a T1 lili followed up by quick factory/scroll beats. G2&3 I do cardadvantagey things and my opponent does tormod's cripty things and gets mana screwed. It isn't close.
2-2
R5 D&T
My opponent is new to the deck (and kinda slow) and I have a chance. Pfire is good agianst his board of wisp and wingmare. He vials in a Brimaz and I don't have an answer to it. G2 he mulls to 5 and I "tempo him out" with revoker and wildwood. and eventually a knight. G3 I have an overwhelming board advantage multiple pieces of removal in hand. he draws a Cataclysm and I choose not to decay the RIP and pump the knight I'm keeping. He is at 2 and decay means he has exactly Thalia as an out. I play a land, attack (we are in turns now) and he vials in the Thalia. Library does not show me a pfire and bob is 1 turn too late to finish him. I'm kinda annoyed that my opponent's pace of play decided the game, but he decides to concede to me and drop from the event.
3-2
R6 Merfolk
G1 My opponent is horribly manascrewed and we have friendly banter about global warming and the destruction of the merfolk's fragile ecosystem. while I kill him with a knight. G2 He is similarly mabascrewed but forces all of my threats and buys enough time to come back and win. G3 I have pfire to hold off his fair game. He plays out 2 TNN and starts getting in. I play a night and go to fetch Depths for the stage already in play. My opponent tanks on the copy ability for something like 2 minutes. We then go to my turn and I attack. My opponent asks why Marit Lage has haste and tries to convince me that I made her on my own turn. Failing that, he goes to -1 and talks out of the store.
4-2
I'm told I missed top8 by 3%
I drew top 4 of a 14 player local tourney last night. Prize was a play set of Force of Wills for first place. I'll try to write up a report tonight, although nothing terribly surprising happened in my matches.
Swiss matches were:
Elves (2-1)
RUG Delver (2-0)
Big Red (2-0)
Eldrazi (draw)
Quarterfinals:
Burn (2-1 luck-sacked wins games 1 & 3)
My semi-finals match would have been vs. Mentor Miracles, the other match was Death & Taxes vs Lands.

Can you please borrow your stores to Portugal? Just for a little while....Quote:
