Well if you think it's got legs, by all means test it. I think it's too situational - doesn't mean my opinion is fact.

Be aware that if the imprinted card on a Chrome Mox is removed from exile, it's no longer imprinted. One strike against PfE that I saw misinterpreted in some earlier pages of this thread.

it's mana-neutral, though. sounds pretty durdly.
Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst
Seems even better with the Unmask version. Doubles as protection from GY hate and another way to get creatures in the yard.
Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst
I ran pull in my top 8 run back in 2013. Never brought it in, and never wanted it. There's better things to bring in, and cards that do their job better.
It's cute. But it got quickly cut after that one tournament.

At that time, how much exiling was being actively done by your deck (via Unmask and Chrome Mox) and in a targeted fashion by your opponents' hate (DRS/Scooze/Surgical/Macabre) vs passively and redundantly with things like Leyline/RIP?

Targeted hate was pretty common back in those days, as this deck was incredibly popular on the SCG opens during the first half of 2013. I brought it in versus Jund a few because I thought it would be good vs DRS/Nihil Spellbomb, and it was never relevant.
Any deck that it might be useful to bring in, we have better sideboard options to bring in: Needle, Chain, Massacre, Serenity, Silence (if you're playing against all the Delvers).
It took up sideboard slots that I would have much rather used on Massacre (for that tournament), and even today there are still cards I would run before Pull in the SB that are more useful.
It sounds like a good card in theory, but in practice it doesn't pull it's weight.

nyuk ;)
Thanks for relating your past experiences with the deck and this card in particular.

That entire post was so that I could make that joke.
But the point still stands. I like Pull, I wanted to make it work, but there's just better things you can do with your 75.
Now if you wanted to do some off the wall build with that blue card Food Chain uses to go exile 3 Misthollow Griffins alongside a playset of Pull, Unmask, and FoW, to make some sort of weird reanimation deck... You would have a troll deck for FNM and nothing else.

I'll grant you an Archer quote only if it's from Sea Tunt I or II:
“Shut up. Captain Murphy, how long have you been down here all alone?”
.
.
.
“Two years.”
Pull From Eternity builds are all that come out of that extreme loneliness at the bottom of the sea.

For serious though, what would the fleshed out list with board look like?

Dude, not to be a dick but... didn't I just post that? I'm pretty sure you could extrapolate a manabase and a potential sideboard plan (reactive or transformational). Then test it.
Again - I think pull from eternity is trash. If you don't, fine. Build a list and test it and bring back data on your testing. Do some work instead of asking people to do it for you.

Wait is that not what this entire thread is about?

naiiiiiiiiled it. Although I think would include at least 2 Cavern of Souls. Don't want those apostles getting countered!
Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst
Update on Redfin (list upways a bit): the deck folds pretty hard to miracles, of course. 2x Sneak Attack in the board were worthless in testing; too expensive and we don't have the right mass of creatures to make them work. I think the play is just more serenity and maybe even a green splash for decay. The deck also misses discard; 6 sources is a little low.
Going to try a bit more with more aggressive mulliganing. The couple times I was pretty aggressive, the chancellor backup and t1 kills were pretty fun (for me. and informative for my testing partner).
Also, chancellor was a dud a couple times; i accidentally discarded him above Grisby and shut off my shallow graves pretty badly. Going to have to be more careful about that.

I like to run 8 discard in the main, 4 unmask and 4 therapy, so yeah I would say 6 is a bit on the low end. Honestly, I would probably drop the chrome mox and the tendrils to get up to 2 more discard spells.
With Collective, it may be harder and take some extra time to win, but it does what tendrils does with more. There are very fringe cases that would warrant tendrils the better card. You can argue that looping less times feels better and saves time but I would rather be a little more resilient with another cabal therapy than to win the game a little earlier when I would win anyways.
Green is a good splash for miracles but green and white starts to seem greedy. I'm still advocating for the white splash with mentor transformation. It has been really good against miracles decks while still being able to leave in the combo, granted I do go a little lighter on reanimation spells but the option to just win always remains there.
I have played sneak attack in the SB previously and I boarded fatties in. It makes the deck a bad sneak attack deck, but when your opponent dilutes their game plan for graveyard hate it can easily get the job done.
