At some point I honestly toyed with the idea of running a Silklash Spider.
Never did so though. Did try Lys Alana Bowmaster once. The RUG-player shrugged and Bolted it, lol.
Oh Delver, the things you make me go through!

For me it's the usual 3 Abrupt Decays plus the recently added 2 Meekstones right now. Foil 7th Edition, are there any others anyways?
Whenever I craft a sideboard I also pay attention to the strategic value of the cards. RUG Delver for example usually doesn't side Artifact Removal against Elves, thus increasing the impact of Meekstone. This of course might change over time (I already had people do it, but those guys just knew what was up) but for the moment, Meekstone gets them pretty hard, at least game2.
Not having to come down early and thus easily dodging Spell Pierce and Daze is another plus.
Of course the revised version is the best!
I agree that meekstone and decays are the best cards against RUG. But it's less good vs the overrepresented BUG-delver, thanks to decay.
What did you take out for these 2? And why not the 4th decay over 2nd meekstone (I played 4 decay/1meekstone before).
For RUG/BUG I shave Heritages/Nettles, board in Abrupt Decays and switch Hoof #2 to Progenitus or Worldspine. Maybe a couple Thoughtseizes. It's enough, I think. Though I still kinda want to test Bitterblossom vs. RUG for lulz.
If you play the Taiga, there's always daybreak ranger ;)
Not an elf but still kind of close

Whats wrong with thornweld archer? Elf-deathtouch-reach
Dies to everything is the answer to that. This is a brainstorming session for ways to deal with Delver in particular. Tempo strategies will eat Thornwield Archer for lunch.

Rather than play reactive cards to Delver, next time I play some legacy, I'm going to try a small SFM package in the sideboard. It seems like we want to reduce our combo pieces (Glimpse comes to mind) and play more individual bombs against attrition decks, like all the Delver decks plus many more. Jitte and/or Batterskull are great in those MUs and play perfectly in a creature-heavy strategy like Elves. SFM would provide another layer of protection for our Elves in addition to Symbiote due to their "must die" imperative. I dunno for certain, but it doesn't seem terrible to me. It requires the Savannah again and at least four sb slots, so there's certainly a cost. I'm going to try it next chance I have though.
It's the reason I settled on Bitterblossom as my anti-Miracles card. We're a deck that asks questions, not one that provides answers. The sideboard should ideally largely be specialized questions that make life hell for the opponent, not answers to their broken stuff per se.
Been on Wizards since '04, played since 96 but not competitively since 01-02. Signed up here because I was intrigued by the Elves deck posted.
What about Hurricane?
I used to run a casual deck similar to the main list on page one but ran Wellwisher's and Priests and then would Hurricane for damage. I ran Xantid Swarms to ensure resolution although I don't see their usefulness in this deck.
I was a heavy black player and used to play Trix and still to this day go by the motto your life doesn't matter until 0.
If you can resolve a large Hurricane and wipe the board of fliers while at the same time hitting your opponent for damage seems good to me.
Ezuri's Archer, also has a nice butt.
How is 2 a nice butt? Seems to me you need to move your eye from the catwalk to Hollywood Boulevard to get some perspective on what constitutes a "nice butt."

Have anyone concidered Skylasher? :D
Anyways... I've got a problem kinda...
I've tried the 61 card build for some time and trying the 60 card build... I'm clearly a fan of the 60 card build, since it..... "feels" normal :D
I have a list here, that's 61 cards, but i don't know which to cut :P
4 cradle
2 catacombs
2 foothills
4 heath
2 bayou
1 taiga
2 arbor
2 forest
4 glimpse
4 NO
4 GSZ
2 craterhoof
1 v-shaman
1 ruric-thar
1 S-ooze
4 drs
4 visionary
4 ranger
4 symbiote
2 birchlore
4 nettle sentinel
3 heritage druid
I want to cut something, preferably the ooze, but i like to have game against GY-based decks in g1..... could i cut a sentinel maybe??
I should probably say that the meta is fairly european, aka, storm variants, a lot of delver decks, miracles and such :)
I personally would drop down to 1 Birchlore Ranger or 3 Glimpse.

@phoenix4 - The first thing I would cut from that list would be 1 Nettle Sentinel. I might then cut the Ruric Thar, but that's a meta-dependent call.
I do not understand the idea of cutting a Glimpse.
For me I would cut Ruric Thar (and taïga?) or the 2nd dryad arbor.
I love my nettle too mutch.
