Pretty shocking, since we got the "upgrade" to Liliana's Triumph not all that long ago. But, it's 2021, time to grab that cash!

The power creep isn't a creeping more, it's accelerating to the speed of light. I really wonder where we end up after this set, given the amount of absurd cards.
On a different note:
I've just realized that Solitude can plow Emrakul, since it isn't a spell.

Kinda decent with Hope of Ghirapur. If they don't have instant speed ways to stop Hope (or a blocker), they won't be casting noncreature spells for the rest of the game. With accel, online as early as T2.
Edit: This is also hilarious with Martyr of Sands and makes facetanking Marit Lage actually feasible. How are they going to kill you if you gain 21 a turn while they can only deal 20 damage?

FWIW I've always wanted to make Realms Uncharted work.

The recent pattern is for WotC to keep the gas pedal on the floor, right?

Love the flavor fail on the card. It really explains why Urza gg'd Serra's plane though - she was trying to make enchantments that recurred Dreadnoughts.
Re: Modern Horizons 2 Previews
Too bad it will never see modern play because it doesn't work with lurrus.

Look at how Vintage looks today, that how legacy will feel in a few years. Modern will be similar to current day legacy in feel. And those wishing for a current Modern type speed will have to make do with either Pioneer or Historic.

Explain further. I'm not following the Vintage meta.

Vintage is mostly midrange, prison, dredge, and blue combo decks. The deck diversity is a bit less plentiful then Legacy, but it's not that much of a different format. Vintage is a bit faster, with less a range of decks, but the basic meta structure is pretty much the same. And the issue I feel isnt so much power creep in general, non creature cards used to be super busted in the early days of magic ( Black Lotus, Necropotence, Yawgmoths Will ) now that has switched to mainly creature cards being busted while non creature cards now are mainly just utility cards and answers ( Uro, Griselbrand, Thalia, True Name, Delver ).
Re: Modern Horizons 2 Previews
Does the printing of a red Rootwalla mean that Vengevine is good to great now? That's 12 free creatures if you count Memnite, 16 if you count Hollow One. That's enough critical mass to send Vengevine into play very very regularly, right?
Re: Modern Horizons 2 Previews
Idk man. Triggering Vengevine sure is easy now with all the free creatures. But how do you get it in the yard?

One with Nothing

Is this good enough as reanimation target?

Surprised nobody is talking about this.
With the obvious affinity pushing it might become viable again.
This seems to be a good addition to plating since it comes with a guy attached and big booty to tank bolts.
Also might be good as finisher for enchantress.
