Using a Sharpie to black border a card never worked too well for me. I mean, I've done okay on some cards with a Sharpie (Revised Fastbond, REBs, and BEBs). But the ink typically seems to dry as more of a purple than a black. The guy doing my Power and duals uses an acrylic paint for the borders. It dries a nice deep black, but it's shiny.Quote:

Even though I can't really get behind the whole pony theme I do really like the mox emerald alteration with the coboy hat pony.
Funny, was thinking the same thing. That the Emerald is kind of a nice alter. I'd prefer to play beat unaltered unlimited power personally, but if a player enjoys playing with pony alters, that's their business.Quote:

There is a large following of My Little Pony, even though it's a bit girly, because it IS so girly. It's almost because it is so one way, its juxtaposition as an interest of men makes it that much more interesting.

I got it in a trade with the dealer. It was valued at $500 USD which I thought was a pretty good deal for such a good nick Alpha Twister. If it was Beta, I'd think the deal was so-so market price, but its extremely difficult to find a decent condition Alpha twister. Minty goodness is gonna be in my EDH deck.
Yeah, I am very much in the market to upgrade my UL Twister to Beta, but finding people who want to do that is incredibly difficult. Blah.
Meh, I have duals in worse shape than those. I'm not a stickler for card condition as long as they're playable for things of that nature (<$50 cards I prefer NM). I'm still not a fan of the pony alters, but if you don't think you're ever going to let them go then it's your decision to make.Quote:
