I agree with magic fanatic, i dont think any judge would allow this, especially if your opponent complain - you'd be asked to use another mat :eek:

Also I was thinking of getting a playmat made where there are scans of cards on the playmat in the locations I would normally play them. For example I would have scans of volcanic islands and underground sea's where i would normally play them so when i draw them in my decks i could just play them on top of the scan. The goal would be just a collage of good cards organized by playing zones. Cards like brainstorm, daze, force of will, duals, COT, intuition, cunning wish, abrupt decay, tarmogoy, emrakul, griselbrand, so on and so forth. Dont necessarily want them to be part of the deck i play but i thought it would be interesting. Am i making any sense?

The way im envisioning it would most likely confuse the opponent about whats in play

Really loved your play mat actually....I bought a Pokemon baby gym for my 8 months old baby... He loves to play with that..often try to pluck out the cute black spots of Pickachuu !!!
