Hey, New York guys, I have a question. The weekend after the GP is my birthday, so I was giving thought to just kinda taking the week off and living it up. I've looked at enough maps and Googled around enough to know that I can get from the venue to the city (or vice versa), but I'm wondering how much of a pain in the ass it is. Whether it's easier on paper and whether I should book another night to depart Monday morning and whether this that or the other thing.

The NJ Transit station in Edison goes straight into Penn Station in the city. Looking on the map, there is the station in Metuchen that's technically a closer drive from the convention center. Trains run pretty late too so you can make the most of your time. No easier way beyond having someone just drive you into the city. That is WAY different than saying they expect 6000.
I will be there judging!! I am under the impression the 6k is a preety firm guess as wea re staffed for the event like crazy.

I just got my tickets booked for the flight out there. Now to figure out the hotel thing... Do I book last moment with my slacker judge buddies or do I book earlier and not stress but risk a bad roomate(s)... That is the question.
