The large number of staple and near-staple reprints of colorless mana lands across formats is simply their way of helping us to understand the new mana symbol.
Seems pretty good in a the late game for a deck that doesn't have much in the way of card draw. MUD and stompy decks come to mind immediately. Merfolk could use some card draw too but I don't think that deck has room for many more utility lands.Quote:

In some ways, not in others. Canopy still taps for colored mana and can get you a card at any time for less mana investment. This is good if you see yourself reliably running out of cards while having a surfeit of (colorless) mana, so some sort of MUD deck looking to go long.Quote:
