I will keep an eye out. Related, I am looking to get a set of Japanese Mox Diamonds to replace my English FTV ones. Once I get those, I will have only one English card left in my main deck (Sheltered Thicket)

Re: [DTB] R/G Combo Lands
Hey, I just finished buying into lands this weekend. Yay for spending to much money on the tabby >.>
I did manage to go 7-2 on Day 1, then 0-2 on Day 2. I've been loving the deck so far, but i've been having troubles evaluating opening hands. So far i'm running a fairly stock mainboard with 3 GQ, 1 vortex, and mainboard bog/karakas. I feel like my sideboard needs some work though. At the moment it is
1 Engineered Explosives
1 Ancient Grudge
2 Chalice of the void
3 Grip
3 Tireless tracker
4 Sphere of resistance
1 Thorn of amathyst.
I feel like the EE has done a lot of work for me, but I keep being unhappy with the chalice of the void. At times it feels like the only card keeping me alive, but at the same time it's the card that is keeping me from winning.
Highlight of the weekend had to be Round 1 when I played against S&T and I have the karakas in my hand. Managed to almost Pfire him out in G1 till big boy showed up and he ate tentacles. G2 was normal business for him. G3 he keeps a risky hand and starts off with a T1 petal brainstorm. He lays down an ancient tomb, and I explore/waste him out of it, before racing to combo. Apparently he just needed a permenant source of colored mana and he had sneak attack ready to go. Better lucky then good I guess.

Troll and Toad had a few of them at the GP this weekend for a good price. I wish I knew, I would've let you know.

I think Drop really shines in a fair-deck meta, especially with a lot of Leo and TNN. Based on the top16, GP Vegas was the ideal meta for Drop. If new Miracles supplants the Blade decks somewhat, or if combo rises in general, Drop is probably not nearly as good.
Still, people want it because it's a cool old Arabian Nights rare. And some of us want to have as many options for building this deck as possible

I don't know where you are looking for to get such price range. I just bought 2 copies in NM- condition for 85€ each on MKM. Maybe I was lucky enough because the seller didn't update the price in time, or maybe you are looking at some over-rated price place?

I'm going to hold off till this comes back down to Earth a little. I love my EEs anyway. :)

Lmao, did we meet @ the GP?
I certainly hope Drop of Honey cools down soon. I was looking for one at the GP but there were none.
Fellow Lands players, don't buy into the hype!!

That price seems like it's coming from some new listings on TCGPlayer in the US. Only a few were on there as the GP was going and they got bought around the $110 range. I don't believe the $250 price will hold at all.
I snagged a couple off of ebay this weekend for about $150 each which is still complete nonsense but I wanted them asap since I'm an impatient piece of shit.

Re: [DTB] R/G Combo Lands
MKM is a little slow to get hit with MTG speculators, not sure why. Prices there rise anyway because of massive price differentials, but it takes longer. https://www.mtgstocks.com/prints/11912 (note difference between Europe and US)
The US market is full of sharks who were tired of riding the next best thing, so they directly manipulate the market when possible. With something this old that has a hint of competitiveness they jump all over it, buying out the market and relisting everything at 3x the cost.
For comparison, check out Moat. Massive price spike from about $200 to $800 when it started showing up in Miracle boards to combat Eldrazi, then settled to $550ish long term.
Drop of Honey will be similar.
Re: [DTB] R/G Combo Lands
Meh, I have my Blue build with Earth right now. That is more than effective enough to deal with whatever may come until this blows over.

Another stage just for Sparkii and the blue build!
Re: [DTB] R/G Combo Lands
@Sparkii
Thanks for the report, boss.
I often play your lists, so they are really helpful :)

It also a good tools to double Explore during our turn or draw-7 against show and tell. I think this card could even be in the main ! So much things to do :,)

This makes sense, though I've never noticed that interaction. Very strange

It's a staple of playing around needle and a great trick to keep in your back pocket. People name the wrong card regularly and even if they get it right the rest of the stages are still live.

Just make sure you've got enough time left in the round for the judge call!
Re: [DTB] R/G Combo Lands
Just ask for an extension
I mean, at worst they say no.

Land: Desert
T: Add {C} to your mana pool.
2, T, Sacrifice a desert: Exile all card from all graveyards.
Not quite Bog (though not strictly worse either), but for those running a second yard hoser in the board (Tormod's Crypt) this might be a replacement?

Neat card, but the symmetrical aspect of this really kills it for me.
