Thanks to sdematt for getting me Ray Swanland cards signed...Finally got the playset of those Mesa together...

And one more Karn the signed playset is complete as well...

Preeeeeety. Pretty much NM except for the bottom back border. Still like, NM- overall.

Re: [Bragging] Pimp Legacy Decks
Markers; those are some sweet sigs. I especially love the Karn alter, here's hoping your whole set has such pretty hair. (Go one further and maybe get one altered like Elvis or Johnny Cash? Karn's already in pretty much the right pose to be an old-school singer.)

Very cool though, do you use them for EDH?
I used to use the "Ho" deck from Pimp: the Backhanding for all my token needs, until someone stole my Standard deck and that game was in the box with it. I'd shuffle it up and peel off however many I needed. It was hilarious. People especially hated being beaten with the underage ho or the tranny, though when I lost to a maindeck Moat last spring (with non-LED dredge) I found out that hos can't swim.
You can also use the "Pimp" deck for tokens, as the pimps have great flavor text. Like Bloody Mary; "Mary doesn't give a shit if you've never laid carpet before, you're hitting for both teams now."
/tangent
EDIT: fuck whomever stole that game from me. I could totally post it here, as it is a pimp deck in its own way.

This is fantastic.

Re: [Bragging] Pimp Legacy Decks
Pimp: the Backhanding is one of the most fun games of all time. Alas, the guy I knew that owned it moved away .
On Topic (kinda): I have a stack of Johnny, Combo Players I use for storm count and Empty the Warren tokens.

Re: [Bragging] Pimp Legacy Decks
Pick this up at a local store. The delvers have been used in a GP, so they are tourney legal. The dark rit is a pretty cool proxy

That Dark Ritual would be picked up in an instant by several members if that was real.

Pretty stoked I was able to get this for $200 from a dealer at the GP. They are getting pretty hard to find.

Is that a test print or something? Is it tournament legal?
Edit: Nevermind, noticed the symbol now, must be the Judge Rewards version then? Never seen one before.

I don't classify 5 different languages pimp...
Not trying to hate, and to each their own, but it looks like you picked through a dealers foreign binder and grabbed the Belcher stuff at two different GPs.

seemed to me that way too. one of the unpimpest decks posted here. ever.
/edit: and this with this deck even being one of the easiest to pimp. as nonfoil versions it only has 5 expensive cards, and we´re not even talking about 3digits-expensive, but only mid 2digits...

Re: [Bragging] Pimp Legacy Decks
The belcher deck is sweet. There is no ambition more noble than defeating your opponent on the first turn with cards they cant read.

never found a signed one for myself -.-
...and today a package arrived with the last 2 cards, a common and a rare, for my 2nd german foil urzas legacy set! the 2nd one has a better overall condition (NM+ average) than my first set, but two cards are signed, but they are no moneycards anyway

Re: [Bragging] Pimp Legacy Decks
The jap foil brainstorms are Balthor's, and he will NOT part with them. Espescially now that they are signed. He's anal like that lol. We sent ours to Tony and he was awesome to communicate with. He's been on vacation and touring. A real nice guy same with Dan Frazier, he literally had his backyard burning with wildfires and he was still able to sign cards and talk. Another classy guy.

Re: [Bragging] Pimp Legacy Decks
I've been trying to track down Chinese foil brainstorms, jap foil are easy to find..did they make chi foil mercadian masques?

Re: [Bragging] Pimp Legacy Decks
there is no chinese masques :-)

I disagree. He kept each playset a distinct language.
But to each his own ... pimp is truly in the eye of the beholder ... I mean certain cards you can't even get in certain languages.

Clearly you didn't look at the Brainstorms about two posts up.
Most of this stuff doesn't impress me. Especially that Belcher deck. Props to the other dude who has a set of Japanese foil Brainstorms though, they're practically infinite in value.
-
Re: [Bragging] Pimp Legacy Decks
Aren't they only like a couple/several hundred each? I don't want to sound like a dick when I say only, since it's not chump change, but I don't consider that infinite.
Still, very nice stuff. Daym.

They're not literally infinite. But I've seen sets sell for $1300-$1500 before, because finding them in complete sets is very difficult. Not to mention finding someone who is willing to part with them.

Re: [Bragging] Pimp Legacy Decks
Wow. A friend of mine sold his set for four times individual value not too long ago, I think for 1100-1200 or so. Ouch.

That's awfully overpriced given you can buy them on Ebay right now for $200/bin, and the last playset of them sold on there for ~$700. I think you'd be pretty damn lucky to get over $1000 for a set, and anyone paying well beyond that is probably just desperate to find them.
