Except, Russian foils are worth nearly as much, and in my opinion look much better.
If I wanted to waste money on Japanese foils just because somebody else says they're pimp, they're readily available to me. But guess what? I'm not seeking the approval of anybody, and prefer German cards as opposed to literally throwing money away on a card that does the exact same thing. When it comes to pimp, the only people that care wether you own Japanese foils or not, are the other people that wasted money on them.

This Hurkyll's is confusing to me. I thought that it was only printed in 4th, 5th, Antiquities, 10th and Revised. So is it done blackbordered or a misprint from Antiquities (which would raise its worth tremendously I think, instead of weakening it due to painting its border black...)?
So, am I just not in good knowledge or is this a fact?
PS: Very nice Belcher deck, what are those bears, special background info?

That whole Japanese is more scarce is bullshit, I can find most premium foil in Japanese I personally like t-Chinese and French. I gave up on French because it's damn near impossible. I like the big blockiness of Chinese. I am looking so hard for chi foil goblin welders , I can find a ton of Jap ones but no chi. The only reason why they are so expensive the Jap is because it's the cool language to have. Pesonally I think people are idiots for driving up those prices, but that's just what I think.And money isn't a issue it's all about what you think is pimp. As a pimp my best girls are Chinese and French lol. Others love Japanese or Russian, we all gotta be happy for other pimps, because if there are no pimps there is no game. In this business it's all about game lol.

As an aside, if you don't mind Brad I'm coming to your defense.
He's posted Foil City of Traitors, Summer Basics, and other awesome crap. He can afford to pimp.
The point is, some don't find Japanese appealing due to the fact it's the go-to pimp language. I'm a fan of Russian non-foil myself, but again, it's damn near impossible to find, or too expensive because some people think Russian non-foil is worth infinite.

Then you get people like me who hates foreign cards, so just go with the basic foiling of English cards. I can still pimp my legacy with foil swords to plowshares and rishadan ports without them being in a language I am unable to read.

That's because Chinese foils were first printed in Nemesis I believe. Masques and Urza's Legacy/Destiny had English foils in the Chinese packs.
