Does your Beta Volcanic Island really have the white dots on the bottom corners? Because real ones don't, as far as I know. Are those Beta duals just inked Unlimited?
That's really odd. I have never noticed that before on them. I had to go pull out some Beta Volcanics to check that and mine don't have the dot on any of them and I have a play set. Strange considering most betas have it. Guess it has something to do with the whole Alpha thing.
IE/CE with cut corners?
Are they Canadian fakes?
I'm pretty sure CE/IE Volcs don't have the dots either.

Every Beta card I've ever seen has the white dots in the corners... but I'm no expert.
I own a bunch of beta commons and they all have them. thought theyre not really dots. it looks to me like card was smaller and they copied the image onto a larger frame during the printing process and just never re-did the corners.
The Volcanics do not, for whatever reason.
I think it's since there are no Alpha Volcanics.
So they used the same cards for the beta printruns as for the alpha printruns and added the volcanic. But they rearranged the Volcanic Island before so that they are fit...
The dots were added to the volcanic , i got it at a discount. I also have a beta wrath and bop with none because people like to clean up the corners and darken the edges.

Concerning beta/CE/IE/AP volcanics : NONE of them have dots.
Since they were left out in the alpha print run, they fixed it (along with the 3rd pic of each basic land, and CoP black). All those cards can be depicted this way :
* No dots on corners
* black borders : typical "double" black border (like all A/B cards) BUT in usual cards (ie : not volcanic, Cop...) the inner black border is clearer while in those cards, the inner border is plain black and darker

not legacy deck but giving the satisfaction i had yesterday when i finally received the volcanic, i'll had to share this set :) (i still have to get the last 2 alterations on the duals, that's gonna be a tough work)

Nothing real pimp here, just my Russian nonfoils that I love so much. Most of the cards are fairly cheap, but not much in my storm list was printed in Russian. Working on what I can without dropping 20+ on a card I already have (fetches)
