E. Tutor? Seems fine with EE, although against RUG I'd probably rather have RiP since it deals with Goyf too, is a permanent effect, and they aren't very good at dealing with enchantments, even postboard.

True. I just got double stifle, double wasted out of the game and it was rough. Goose is a difficult to deal with threat. I had 2 Stp, a shriekmaw, and a perish rotting in hand
Meh. I boarded out 2 Thoughtseize, 2 Hymn, 2 Revoked and like stillmoon for 2 RIP, Perish, Pontiff, 2 ZP, and a ETutor. Maybe boarding out most of my discard was wrong
For me, I prey on Delver decks. Especially RUG.
I board in 2 EE, 1 RIP, a Toxic Deluge and sometimes a Zealous Persecution. I usually take out the Hymns and a Vindicate.
I leave in the targeted discard for sure. Delver decks usually don't pack many threats. If you can make them discard their only threat it's huge. Getting wasted/stifled sucks but with no pressure it's not as big of a deal.
EE is pretty huge for me VS those decks. 2 mana to killed an Insectile Abberation. 3 mana to kill mongoose. And Toxic Deluge is insane. At a tournament recently I killed 3 Goyfs and a True Name Nemesis with it. Killed some of my own dudes but they were Lingering Soul tokens.
Question is how many lands the deck really should run. Thinking of 24 atm, 4 wasteland, 4 scrubland, 1 bayou, 2 swamp, 1 plains, 4 Marshflats, 4 Bloodstainded Mire, 1 Dustbowl, 1 Karakas 2 Horizon Canopy.
Im at 22. wouldnt mind 23 as well. Dust Bowl seems horrible though.
Not running forest so it doesnt matter wich other black fetchs I use, used to run delta's but got foiled bloodstained so running them. Been liking having extra wastelands as well having something do when flooded with lands, so many greedy mana bases atm as well some very strong nonbasic lands running arround atm. Dustbowl and canopy to fix flooding. I hate mana screwed as well as mulliganing to get lands.
I do find myself keeping a lot of 1 land deathrite hands. I wouldnt mind adding back like the singleton isolated chapel. Not sure what spell to drop though. It would probably mean bye bye to stillmoon I guess :/
Not so sure about Dust Bowl. I think I'd rather have Horizon Canopy. Provides 2 of the colors you need and it can cantrip.
Too bad lands like Darkslick Shores etc. are only allied color right now. Probably have to wait a LONG while for them to make enemy color ones.
Bowl is subpar, even in commander it is still slow. 4 mana(include itself) is totally unacceptable in a midrange deck.
What does everyone think about a 1x or 2x of vampire nighthawk? I've been going back and forth with it; I love it's abilities and it's great with a sword, but is it high impact enough? I feel like this deck wants creatures that have more of an immediate impact on the game state, and it's spot in the deck might be better served as discard. But part of me really wants to make it work in a more midrangey version of the deck. Thoughts?

3 mana, and die to every popular removal…it is just not good enough today.
It could block most "beater"(goyf, delver, mongoose, clique, batterskull etc.)except for Tnn. Unfortunately, it cannot survive after blocking ANY of them…
Got out of my funk and went 3-0 tonight. Cut Stillmoon for the 23rd land. Not sure how relevant it was, but since I added a fetch, I don't think my Deathrites went hungry at all. Also, Revoker continues to be sweet. Got to play him naming LED against Storm in Game 1, and once he died he said something about not being able to get hellbent being an issue. I also am on the fence about whether or not to keep him in against Junk style decks. I awkwardly boarded them out while boarding a Pithing Needle in.
It seems like Revoker should shine in a Junk matchup, no? Hits DRS, SFM, Equipment, KotR, ScOoze, Planeswalkers, etc. I guess the most awkward thing would be that you also run like 80% of the targets he would name in that match-up. It's context dependent but it seems like you should definitely keep him in.
It's possible. Sometimes it just eats a removal spell, which I guess is fine? Dunno. It was a weird match. Game 1 I thoughtseized and Hymn'd him, but he had loam, awkwardly however he was light on green sources, so I kept up the pressure by Vindicating and wasting his green sources, and he had to take a turn to decay my Deathrite which randomly left him to play a dryad arbor as his green source and I STP'd it and he was cut from green for about 4 turns while I got ahead on board.
But yeah, like you said, a lot of the targets are things that I also play. I think if they are on the Mother of Runes plan, it is definitely a card I want. I've just gotten used to boarding it out vs. most of the fair decks other than miracles. I also didnt know what to cut as I was bringing in 2 Disenchant, a Perish, Orzhov Pontiff, and the Needle (a bit better because it doesnt die to STP/Jitte). I think I dropped the 2 Hymns, 2 Revokers, and like Shriekmaw? He wasn't on the Goyfs plan, so the only targets were Stoneforge, KOTR, and Pridemage. Which still may be enough to simply warrant going up to 61 post board and just keeping in Shriekmaw.
Richard, what's your latest black ands taxes deck look like? I have a list in mind that I would like to try out and would like to compare.
