There's also some Goblins, Dnt, Miracles, Burn, Pox, etc. Personally, I take the expected meta and distill my 15 cards down to 3 big archetypes. This weekend that appears to be "fair blue decks", "fair midrange aggro", and "combo".
What's the SB plan for all of that?
That is a very wide meta. Hard to board for everything in there. I'd say, take a look on my sig list and grab boarding plan and merge them. See what comes out and adjust from there. Most MU's, if not all, are in there.
They other day i played Jund NicFit going in a very very grindy 3-2-2. If i'd played junk, perhaps i would have played a little less grindy and got some better results.
Re: [Primer/Deck] Nic Fit
The thing with Meren is that often you don't really need her, but if she manages to stick around for a while you are quite likely to win in the end.
@Warden: I'd focus my SB slots on the 2 weakest portions. There'll be some splash to help deal with the (already favorable) third portion of the meta.
@Bobmans: That's what happens when you betray our lord and savior. Ten Hail Siege Rhinos for you!
The mere approach of an Abzan war beast is enough to send enemies fleeing in panic.
Go!

I still say that Jund's problem is that it needs its creature base to catch up somehow. We're a fair bit removed from the days of Huntmaster and Thragtusk ruling the legacy roost, now. Perhaps Gitrog could be the start of something there? He plays well with things like Magmatic Insight, which could be a viable card for some kind of Jund setup. Jund's creatures just haven't been pushed lately, though. Gitrog and Kalitas is probably the "most pushed" you can do at this point.

I saw someone shitposting in the Legacy subreddit about Nic Fit. I'll sign up tomorrow and clear up that nonsense.

Given person was either bad at playing with it, or is losing horrible against it with a netdeck tier1 deck.

Don't forget to mention the Porsche. And call them a Muggle. You know, to keep it classy.
Re: [Primer/Deck] Nic Fit
Yes, the New Sorin is the real deal. Play him.

I didn't know you invented Rhino time, or were you joking? I thought quite a few people came to the same conclusion independently? Or were you just the first to post on here about it? Or were you the first to go 4X Rhino? Hence "rhino time"? :)
I know that when rhino was first spoiled the first thing I thought was "this shits all over TNN, pyromancer, decay and bolt... I can get it off GSun and it lightning helixes the opponent. I'm going to play this in legacy"
Re: [Primer/Deck] Nic Fit
I forgot to remind that, although TS is the worst top deck, I never draw it when I don't want it in the late game thanks to top. That's another reason why in my opinion playing the deck with less than 3 top is absurd: since we have plenty of board control elements, hand control, and pure gas, top allows us to draw the card belonging in one of these categories exactly when we want it (and hide it from their discard spells).
Maybe 2 TS main is too much? I don't know and that's why I had not reported that change before, but thanks to Jain I feel less of a fool now! I certainly like it a lot against storm, miracles and even eldrazi, and stompy decks in general: they often mulligan to have t1 chalice and/or t2 tks, and sometimes all it takes to absolutely ruin their hand is a one mana "skill-less but 100% safe" discard spell. Plus the synergies with therapy, which are underrated imo.
As Billy Jain said: ts mainly wrecks combo, but the collateral damage against other popular mu is very real.
Re: [Primer/Deck] Nic Fit
Won a local 28ppl tournament with my version of BUG Pod, i can write a small report if anyone is interested

There is a ton of shitposting about Nic-Fit on that sub, it's best to just ignore it. There's about 2 threads a day titled "getting into legacy, how viable is Nic-Fit to win my local gp" and it's constantly suggested as one of the best budget decks to get into the format with.
Re: [Primer/Deck] Nic Fit
Mu i found:
Death&Taxes 3 times, won all of them, the deck is well suited to fight taxes, we can get screwed mostly by turn 1 mother or mirran crusader but i think we are clear favorite here, red sideboard really heps, both pod for sulfur and keranos are win conditions.
Boarding Pithing Needle, Krosan Grip, Toxic Deluge and Sulfur Elemental and boarding out a Cabal Therapy, Phantasmal Image, Glen Elendra Archmage e Kitchen Finks.
Matchs ended up 2-1 2-0 and 2-0, had some trouble against a turn 1 mother into turn 2 stoneforge into waste vial sofi into serra avenger, usually the game tend to be either a total stomp or really close ones and we tend to have the upper hand in the longer game, our goal should be to delay their game as much as possible, the clearly have the upper hand in the first turns unless we have a veteran.
An eldrazi, won 2-1, i tested the mu quite a bit, we usually are in decent shape unless they get the nuts, i think no fair deck can deal with eldrazi if they get a degenerate opens, i lost the game to turn 3 smasher into turn 4 double smasher, not much we can do, strix and sower are the mvp here and cabal therapy is a must on the play to hit cotv, veteran is really good unless the play 2 wastes, eldrazi will often skip some combat just to prevent the ramp.
Even if they are a lock deck i would suggest to keep in our top end curve since we need to go big to overpower them in the long game, remember to hit late game cabals on endbringer and all is dust, both are instant game enders
my board was Krosan Grip, Toxic Deluge and Pithing Needle for Vendilion, Glen Elendra Archmage and a Cabal Therapy odd, therapy back in for the ooze in g3
Fought an aggro loam and won 2-1, won game 1 against a flooded opponent and lost game 2 in full screw after a bad mulligan to 6 i chose to keep and got completely smashed by cotv, game 3 was an hard and long game, was able to surgical the punishing and this is a key point in our success here, he was able to summon a gitrog monster but as every bg deck does he simply got smashed by keranos in the long run.
My board plan is Krosan Grip, both Surgical Extraction, Toxic Deluge and the Pithing Needle for Phantasmal Image, Glen Elendra Archmage, Vendilion Clique, a Cabal Therapy and a Veteran Explorer.
Faced in the finals bug shardless and i can post a video of the match since we decided to film it, the commentary is in italian so i suggest to mute the video if you are not interested in it and you just wanna watch the games, i made some minor missplay in the games but im pretty ok with the results

Rhinotime was the hashtag we used at GP Lille last year, but I built the deck from the ground up and posted it here shortly after Tim Wilson's Jund finish. Rhino had recently come out and I really wanted to play him, and after seeing Tim's excellent finish, I just stripped the deck of the red and slammed Rhinos. The rest is history. Junk Nic Fit had been around for a while, but it was all about the combo game.
Tao, tell me about your Sorin experience.
Re: [Primer/Deck] Nic Fit
There are so many 6-drops I would sooner play than Sorin.
Also, I don't even let the hate phase me anymore. I've played this damn deck for five years now, and I've had it called (to my face) a nice EDH deck, a sweet cube deck, and a bunch of much more detrimental and offensive things. That doesn't change my SCG top 16s/32s. That doesn't change my 4x Jupiter top 8s, from a time when that really meant something, or my Mythic top 8s, or my local tournament winnings. I'm comfortable with the results I've put up with my baby, and with the time and work I've put into the deck. If all the knuckledragging netdecking delver players want to be disparaging, that's fine. They're the immature ones here, not us. We have one of, if not the single best communities for our deck out of any I have ever seen or been part of.
Let them think that we aren't a real deck. They'll cry that much harder when they lose to us.
Re: [Primer/Deck] Nic Fit
@Matt, just scrolled through the archives, and people were on rhino for a while, but I think you were the first to talk about playing 4 :P
Also if anything you're legacy is introducing path to exile to the legacy format, kudos for that one
@Arian, lol that's some sweet sweet painful truths right there.
