About the Goblins matchup: I have to say that
Vedalken Shackles out of the board is an absolute backbreaker against them. It requires you cutting something for more Islands (namely
Mutavaults, because cutting
Wasteland is insane)... So it's kind of a meta call. But honestly, Shackles is pretty fucking bonkers in this deck, so I'd at least test it a bit, especially if there is a big Goblins and/or mirror match presence in your meta. My gut instinct is that you could probably get away with running as few as 15 Islands in a version that uses Shackles, but it's probably safer to start with 17 Island 4 Wasteland, and then shave off a couple Islands for 'Vaults if you're comfortable with it.
On the other hand,
Sword of Fire and Ice is also decent sideboard fodder against Gobbos (and again, in the mirror), and it doesn't even require any changes to the mana base. Its mana cost is steep enough that I would never run more than one copy in this deck though, and honestly I don't always use mine, it's kind of a floater that comes in for a Jitte when I'm feeling frisky.
Hope this helps. Fuck Goblins.
