I'm not really into the UG variant but thing definitely seems interesting. I would likely agree with mech that ancient stirrings should be in there and show should be at a slightly higher number. It would be neat to be able to show in a primeval titan and rebuy it with thing after an attack. All that ramp.
I know Rock isn't a fan of FoW in this deck, but the thing makes it easier to run them in the board. Another thing for the thing... I'm liking it more and more.
I'm not a fan of FoW without a draw engine. I've "secretly" been testing my old very successful AK build with FoW and Thing in the Ice. Haven't nailed down a build I'm happy with sharing quite yet, but I will soon.tmQuote:

The deck was super fun as is but we both agreed 66 is too many cards. We are dropping candles, Kozilek and ugin and adding a nicol bolas to make 61. Hopefully it will be more competitive with a more appropriate number of cards. Tons of dig makes it feel very viable and at the very least consistent. Will keep updating as it evolves. Miracles is still super easy, UR delver was super close and charbelcher pressed force with turn 1 xantid swarm then 5 rituals into belcher for 14 with led for next turn. Was very close otherwise.

Round 1 INFECT (2-1) WIN
G1 (0-1): I lost on turn 3 combo to his Glistener Elf.
G2 (1-1): My opponent mulligan to 5 gave me enough time to give threats like casting pithing needle naming Inkmoth Nexus on T1 and wurmcoil engine on T2 and thought-knot seer on T3. Casting Warping Wail on my main phase to his 1/1 infect made alot of impact since he got to use his pump spells just to make his creature not exilable. I strongly advice casting warping wail on your main phase because infect decks do have a lot of pump spells in hand, and it may just nullify your warping wail when he cast another pump when you pass priority.
G3 (2-1): Again my opponent mulligan to 5. And it really gave me another opportunity to have an upper hand to this match. I casted chalice of the void turn 1 and he didnt countered it. And a thought knot seer on turn 2 and turn 3. I removed 1 blighted agent on turn 2. But i saw that he still have another 1 blighted agent, 1 pump spell and 1 Noble Heirarch. On his turn 3 he already casted the agent I saw. On my turn 3 tks I removed the pump spell. After a stand down. And a series of attacking at each other (no point in making my tks a blocker since Blighted Agent is unblockable) I managed to get a q faster clock than his poison counters. And luckily i drew All is Dust. But it was countered. I drew another All is Dust. This time he couldnt counter it. So I won.

Boarding Explanation:
I maintained the pithing needles even if i have chalice of the void since it will be dependent on my draws. If i first drew pithing then ill cast pithing, vice versa. I know he has krosan grip on his sb so cotv wouldnt last long. In this matchup i strongly advice naming your pithing to inkmoth. Since they only have 1 wasteland in the mboard that they crop rot in case of emergency purposes. Wurmcoil is just a fatty creature but doesnt help you at all. So i removed 1 to make entrance for our walking Spine of Ish Sah.
Since thought knot seer has been a part of my list, makes our deck be more competitive against bad matchups like this.

Round 2: MOON ELDRAZI STOMPY (2-0) WIN
G1 (1-0): Grim Monolith really helped alot when having a match this decks, even if theres Blood Moon or Magus of the Moon in play. Grim Monolith's (Colorless Mana) helped me cast my Warping Wail and TKS. I won because of my 3 thought knot seers that came into play T3 and T4 consecutively.
G2 (1-0_: I won again because of my Monoliths ramping out my Wurmcoil Engine in play and my Ratchet Bomb removed the Blood Moon after a long turns that and then I casted my Ulamog to finally Win the Game.

Round 3: LANDS / ETERNAL GARDEN (2-1) WIN
G1: T1 I dropped ancient tomb to put a pithing needle naming wasteland and expedition map. T2 I dropped a cloudpost and T3 Glimmerpost to gain 2 life. Gaining 2 life makes me have another chance if marit lage attacks.
Unfortunately during the mid game, he activated his thespian stage to create a marit lage token at the end of my turn and then he attacked me making my life down to 2. And with the help of his dredge he managed to put punishing fire into his graveyard. I lost due to Punishing Fire.
G2:
I managed to put leyline of the void at the beginning of turn and on the next early turns I would've killed him on the next turn since I have drawn my Helm of obedience if he hadn't Krosan Grip ped my LOTV. The longer the game is, the more it is on our favor. I won via Creature beatdown.
G3:
I played leyline of the void again after mulling to 6 at the beginning of the turn and managed to drop an early threat, Thought Knot Seer again, He Krosan Gripped my Leyline that made me in deep trouble, He used maze of ith to slow the clock, but I have vesuva copying his rishadan port and tapped his maze of ith on the next turns and beat him down.

Priority naming for pithing needles
1. Wasteland
2. Ghost Quarter
3. Rishadan Port / Thespian's Stage
Warping wail can really help in this match up since you can counter
Life from the Loam and gamble.

G1: Won by Having countered his Show and Tell using 2 Warping Wails and casted a Thought-Knot Seer Ulamog finishes the game.
G2: Won by having my Chalice at T1 which was countered and dropped a 2nd threat (Ugin, the Spirit Dargon) that he was forced to force my to threats using Force of Will 2 Times and pitching his Omniscience 2 Times. And As the game took longer than expected, I wasnt afraid if he cast another Show and Tell because I have a Warping Wail in hand and a Duplicant, which I know the chances that he will Show and Tell his Omniscience is lesser than Show and telling Emrakul in play because he already exiled 2 of his Omniscience, I've managed to put another Ugin in play that shoots him for 3 turns, Unfortunately he doesnt have show and tell and I've managed to enter an Expedition map and in response he casted Cunning Wish to search a Trickbind, just in time I activated my Exped Map he countered it using Trickbind, I used the last skill of Ugin, then drawn 7 cards, There is an Exped Map on the top 7 and that cause him to concede since I will besearching for Emrakul, Given that I have so many Locus Lands and 3 Candelabras in play.

I'm actually going to put my colorless list down for this week. Thing in the Ice makes me laugh too much so I think I'm gonna try Rock's U/G list this week.

The SB Ugin should almost certainly be one of the 2 kozileks, and the 2 spell pierce were interesting, but not entirely sure if they wouldnt' be better served as wipe aways.

Not trying to be rude in any way, but $10-12 is too expensive for the strength Thing in the Ice provides? I think that is a fair price slot for it to stick at. I agree its preorder price a few weeks back was insane, but since then I would gladly buy a playset for ~$40 for such a card.Quote:
