I lost to Autumn in Round 4. I was at 15 Trillion life in game 1 and she had a confinement lock on that I couldn't break. Also didn't have much in my SB to help either. It was the most fun match of the day though.

Im actually trying out a heavier splash of red and a light splash of white (just for Confinement/O-Rings). I'm trying out Seal of Fire(s) again, and main decked blood moon(s). As i noticed, everyone has gotten so greedy with their mana base that a Turn 2 Blood Moon just destroys a lot of decks game 1.
Are these Classics big tournaments or not really? I cant really gauge that/have no clue tbh! (I always wondered)
The classics are decently sized. I saw numbers for this weekend on twitter but can't find it now. Legacy had something like 250 players to moderns ~300 and standards 175.
Going to see if I can file leave on mid March to go to Eternal Extravaganza 6, if I do I'm definitely piloting this deck. Not like I have much of a choice anyways, this is the only deck I have lol. Even if I have a choice I'll still pilot this deck just coz of it's over powerness of being a "Tier Fun" deck. :)
So far, loving main decked blood moon. I love the Seal of Fire also as a quick answer to things that usually hinders us (Thalia), or kills us (delver), cards that kills our enchantress (liliana), or creatures that bypass our defenses (deathrite), or sets up the opponent faster than us (metalworker). In 3 days I'll see how blood moon plays in person than online.
Also if we modify our win-con to say... Words of War/Emrakul... do you guys feel like a single Gaddock Teeg is main deckable? There are plenty of decks out there that based on the first couple turns, sometimes based on the first turn you can tell what deck they are, and GSZ-ing Teeg on turn 2 could make a huge difference.
I'm tossing around putting this deck together as it looks very fun. I'm a big fan of GWB colors.
How reliable are non-Emrakul win conditions? I'm thinking I'd like to run 2 Doomwake Giant, perhaps 2 Sigils (although I've never seen a list with more than 1), and a Helm of Obedience with 3 RIP. Going wide with angel tokens seems very fun (I'm a big fan of tribal strategies that go wide in creature heavy decks).
Enchantress runs very few win conditions because the deck plans to lock the board and/or draw a substantial part of the deck (plus a few tutors). I personally play Helm + 2RIP, 1 Sigil, 1 Doomwake and a Emrakul. I don't remember winning a game with Doomwake beats tough, so I usually don't count him as a win condition.
I was also at the Baltimore classic tournament. Went 4-2-2 (Losing to Pox and Death and Taxes) which is the best finish I have ever done and could probably have done better if I played a little more carefully. The interesting part was Round 1 I was sitting next to Autumn and my opponent was asking me about Utopia Sprawl. The fact that there were 2 Enchantress decks in the 200+ player pod right next to each other was funny.
I actually switched from red splash to black splash. The threats I play are two doomwake giants, RIP/Helm, Sigil, and Emrakul. I feel that the Helm combo is to vulnerable to revoker, pithing needle, counter spell . I have actually found that Doomwake tends to be quite good. Getting to 5 mana isn't particular hard with all the accelerators and it tends to do a good job of clearing the board. It also is a nice "big butt" against Goyf as well. I have found that adding another tutorable threat is good. Doomwake was very good at clearing the board and being able to hit a planeswalker if need be.
I am thinking of trying to add the blue splash for energy field(s), but that seems to have a different table feel than I expect. I am sure its a matter of getting used to the order in which you play sterling grove (or popping them), energy fields and rest in peace.
Got a chance to play Legacy again, trying different stuff, having a heavier splash of red and a lighter splash of white.
Vs Shardless 2-1
Game 1: Opponent had enough pressure to kill me, and I couldn't establish lock. Enchantress and Mirri couldnt find me what I need and I lose to Leovold.
Game 2: This round was crazy, opponent had me down to 4 health, but the sterling grove protected my draw engines, and I nuked his Deathrite Shamans with Seal of Fire, the game was most a 1-1 attrition game but with enchantress draw favoring me. Hi leovold was met with Banishing Light nd eventually chain reaction into things.
Game 3: Not much to say, enchantress doing it's thing and I won with Emrakul.
Vs Sneak Attack 0-2
Game was not even worth talking about, it was too 1 sided.
Game 1: Oppoent does a turn 1 is ancient tomb + lotus petal + Show and Tell to Griselbrand. I scooped to refrain from showing what deck I have.
Game 2: I kept a hand with acceleration, arogthian and an Authority of the Council. But opponent plays a turn 1 Ancient Tomb + Lotus petal + Emrakul.
Vs Burn 2-0
Game 1: Turn 2 Argothian + Seal of fire prevented him from dropping Eidolon which gave me enough time to assemble my pieces.
Game 2: Turn 0 Leyline, nullified all his direct damage, however I was under pressure from 2 goblin guides. They however, actually helped me out and I was able to nuke one with Seal of Fire and Banishing Light the other, and eventually hit a critical mass to power out Emrakul.
Vs Aluren 2-0
Game 1: Main decked Teeg, shut off the combo.
Game 2: Main decked Blood moon shut off his mana, that I was able to assemble my pieces.
Vs Stoneblade 0-2
Game 1: I had such a bad mana problem despite me having a Mirri's guile out. I had 1 land and 2 enchantments on it. It was just too slow combined with being mana screwed.
Game 2: I can't say much... opponent had a ridiculous hand. He later told me that he has 1 stone blade, 1 brainstorm, 2 Daze, 2 Forces, and 1 land. he stopped all 4 of my enchantresses.
Was not too happy with the Sneak and Show player having two god openingss, and the stone blade having almost an entire hand full of counter magic.
Back to customizing the deck again... (preparing for Eternal Extravaganza)
Waiting for son, might as well post my classic
Miracles (0-0-1): game 1 was long drawn out drew almost my entire deck and won.
Game 2 held very defensive hand but he was able to counter balance all. On turn 4, could have survived if drew any 1 cost enchantment off Sigil with 2 enchantress. Could not
Lands(0-0-2): game 1 led with karakas. Explosive start with 2 exporations wasteland and stage. Was lucky had enlightened tutor and enough land to back up elephant grass. Won with rip/helm combo.
Game 2 kept loaded nt for stuff could not draw RIP. Had suppression field out to stall. On last turn, he killed me. May have miscounted with tapping.
Nice fit (1-0-2): game 1 helm/rip combo quickly
Game 2 he removed all enchantress, RIP, DoomwAke
Game 3 out tempo'd him with doomwake
Death & taxes (1-1-2) (0-2); game 1 2 rishadan ports were too much
Game 2: had rip/helm early but had phyrexian revoked out. Had doomwake in hand but cast prelate. Forgot noncreature clause so my boneheaded play cost.
Shardless (2-1-2) (2-1): game 1 combo Rip/helm combo early
Game 2 Leopoldo held me back
Game 3 doomwake cleared board to let me get finance and angels so finished the job
Pox (2-2-2) (0-2) only game got killed. 2 really quick games.
Burn (3-2-2) (2-1): game 1 Got enchantress lock with solitary. Had no answer
Game 2 no leyline, lost race
Game 3 got leyline out, but he put in sulfuric vortex. His goblin guide filtered my library to get solitary confinement
No show (4-2-2)
Really enjoyed the classic. Unfortunately won't be in area when in Worcester. Hope to make it out to vegas.
Gonna try a parallax-list for next week.
Opting for maindeck Leylines for sweet Opalescence beatdown. Also black leylines in board for same reason over RIP.
The thoughts are to be protected against hand disruption, burn and tendrils game 1 with leyline, + parallax wave does a good job against SnT.
Fats aggro is probably unbeatable g1 and might need more boardslots. Any thoughts? Usually play Food Chain so this is new territory for me.
4 Argothian Enchantress
2 Enchantress's Presence
2 Eidolon of Blossoms
4 Leyline of Sanctity
2 Elephant Grass
1 Carpet of Flowers
4 Utopia Sprawl
4 Wild Growth
1 Mirri's Guile
1 Oblivion Ring
1 Ground Seal
2 Green Sun's Zenith
4 Parallax Wave
4 Opalescence
2 Sterling Grove
1 Sigil of the Empty Throne
1 Oath of Gideon
2 Savannah
2 Serra's Sanctum
4 Windswept Heath
8 Forest
2 Bayou
1 Plains
1 Dryad Arbor
SB
4 Leyline of the Void
2 Krosan Grip
2 Swords to Plowshares
1 Trinisphere
1 Stony Silence
2 Choke
2 Engineered Plague
1 Dread of Night
If you only have room for 8 Enchantresses, why not 4 Argothian and 4 Presence?
Presence works with Argothian and Opalescence.
Oh I just saw Eidolon of Blossoms... why do you prefer that over Presence 3+4?
Eidolon is an etb-effect, not cast. Therefore, opalescence + parallax wave + eidolon = draw your entire deck. Hedging for the combo win.
With less than a week left for Eternal Extravaganza 6 at Baltimore, been doing lots of testing in prepration, playtesting versus a wide range of proxied decks. I dropped the heavier red splash I was on and focused more on the traditional GW non-helm build with replenish. Journey to nowheres (4) replacing my grasses, as well as the main board Banishing Light gives me lots of tools to handle various troublesome, back breaking or sometimes game ending threats.
With the rise of Leovold presence, as well as Spirit of the Labyrinth making appearances on my area, I decided to drop Sylvan Library and went for Mirri's Guile instead.
The advantage of using elephant grass is it blocks out all black threats where journey to nowhere would be better vs. single threats. I agree with banishing light, I use 2 o-rings as the slight advantage of targeting your own stuff if necessary.
Mirris Guile is definitely better then sylvan library unless playingbwords of war because actually on upkeep gives you advantages of looking prior to solitary confinement trigger or possibly popping sterling grove. Some people play senseis divining top as you can arrange anytime and draw enchantment if you need to. I went back and forth and decided I liked the enchantment better.
Played Friday Night Legacy, we had some new players that joined us, my first time seeing them. Ive had the opportunity to play both of them as well, so I was glad. There was a standard player that I never met before that saw we were all signing for the legacy tournament so it can fire off, he was surprised, seems like he plays legacy as well, as he did mentioned that he "should have brought his deck".
Round 1: Enchantress vs BUG Delver
Game 1 - I kept a keepable hand, it was slow but it had was pretty good. Opponent dropped an early Delver while stopping my GSZ. Followed by Tarmogoyf. I was forced to drop confinement without an enchantress, paid health for Sylvan Library to get me extra cards needed cards to pay for confinement upkeep since ill need it. So I dropped confinement down, followed by a few enchantress the next following turns. Opponent was worried as he had no cards in hand, however, I got mana flooded instead, and I end up fizziling. This was such a shame, first time I ever whiffed with the enchantresses.
Game 2 - Opponent had me at low health, I had 3 enchantresses in the field, and he has only one cards in hand. Im holding on to 2 solitary confinement and a replenish. I spent 4 turns digging but I couldn't find a white source for the life of me.
Oh well... It's variance, it happens.
Result 0-2
Current Standing 0-1
Round 2: Enchantress vs Miracles
Game 1 - Opponent had the Turn 1 SDT, turn 2 Counter Balance. With no pressure however, my Sylvan Library and fetchlands did great work filtering my draws, as soon as Enchantress Presence resolved, I got the breathing room I need and I was eventually able to resolve a Replenish. However the game dragged on for a while, as my Emrakul faced 2 Terminus. However, eventually I got there. Our game 1 took forever that there was question whether we could finish game 2 in time.
Game 2 - Opponent blood mooned me, this actually didnt do much to me at all and it ended up hurting him more than it did to me. as I had mutiple Sprawls on white, he was unsucessful trying to counter my Sigil as h spent all his resources stopping my engine. However, a resolved Sigil got me there, I really only need a few angels to win game 2, and did so with time to spare.
Nice and friendly opponent.

Round 3: Enchantress vs Sneak and Tell
This guy was watching me play the whole time, so he knew what my decks about and what cards I am running.
Game 1 - This ended pretty fast. Opponent plays SnT he flips Omniscience while I flipped Emrakul. Not much to be done here, he just kept casting spells until he hard casts his own Emrakul.
Game 2 - I opened with double Leyline of Sanctity, followed by turn 1 serra's sanctum > Authority of the Consuls. Then a turn 2 GSZ for Teeg. The game dragged on for a while. As he SnT a Sneak Attack. I had multiple enchantresses and a small amount of enchantments on the field. He EoT sneak attack Emrakul and swing, I kept enough permanents to function. I rebuild for a while, and he EoT Emrakul again. Again, I kept enough permanents to function. He was getting annoyed at my Confinement. He eventually dropped Engineered Explosives, but again I was still able to recover. Eventually we fought over his Sneak attack with my banishing Lights. He eventally ran out of steam and I was hammering away his life points with Teeg, I got him to 4 but my emrakul showed up and she told my teeg to take a break and she'll take over from here. I really wanted to kill him with teeg, but I decided to play safe and end it before he finds an out.
Game 3 - This game was Similar to game 2. The game dragged on for a while. I chose to prioritize getting Teeg down as well as dropping Authority of the Consuls in play, and I tutored (via S Grove) for Stony Silence. However, with no actual engine in play just hate I was eventually falling behind, he eventually broke free. He casted SnT for emrakul and I had nothing relevant. I got annihilated and saw my Banishing light was 1 turn away.
I lost the match, however my opponent really had to work for it.
Result 1-2
Current Standing 1-2
Round 4: Enchantress vs Elves
Game 1 - Turn 2 Argothian, turn 3 Moat turn 4 Sterling Grove bought me enough turns to power out Emrakul.
Game 2 - Turn 1 Authority of the Consuls, turn 2 Argothian bought me enough turns, and I chained enough cards to bring out Emrakul.
Result 2-0
Current standing 2-2
After the game, four of us stayed back and decide to do something silly. We played 4 player Legacy free for all. It was a match between:
Enchantress vs Aluren vs MUD vs Dredge... however, they decide to kill me first. It was fun, we had people asking if we're do EDH again after the game, we told them we're playing Legacy free for all. It was fun, the people are friendly and nice, and hope to play with them again.
This sequence was a bit unclear to me. Did you actually have Confinement in play and used Sylvan Library the next turn to draw extra cards?
You're aware Library doesn't work under Confinement I hope (as you dok't have a draw step), so maybe the events werent written chronologically?
I paid health before I dropped confinement so that I can sustain the Solitary Confinement while I drop the enchantress effects one at a time. Ill edit it if it sounds confusing. Im writting it at 4:00 am x_x, but writing things before I forget it. I didnt pay that much health for it, i just drew an extra one, it was during my elves match up that I paid a bunch of health multiple times, I actually dropped down to a really low health as I was digging deep.
