A couple of cards are Japanese (canopy and magistrate and worship in the sideboard), I dont know if you already know or if they are hard to find in chinese. I've seen so many pictures of korean and japanese wastelands but I still dont think I've seen a chinese one yet. Also for cards that are being played, I love beat to hell beta cards, they look unique and 'experienced' haha. Im also a fan of older chinese cards, I've been traveling in Asia and have gotten to pick up some nice goodies. Not legacy but http://i.imgur.com/XGB53.jpg

@ Nedleeds. Calling the cards in here "peanuts" is insulting. What you should do is sell that car, and buy some real cards. Because the ones you got are only worth peanuts to the above mention pimps.

Most of you guys missed nedleeds's point, and it was a good one too.

Pimp != just money

It's also about decks looking good in lets say... an unique way. For example all FBB german would look great to me, or all chinese cards. Foil's aren't the holy grail for most people, no matter what jamesh tries to pass as ultimate pimp goal. Maybe it flows his boat since he's most likely under the influence of old pimp dogma's, but I for one don't like foils at all.

Since we're here due to jamesh's post - what's up with the WB duals in his decks? :cool:

I'm currently two cards away from finishing Doomsday Fetchland Tendrils all cards being FBB german except for the Underground Sea's. They are german, but not blackbordered. I will post the deck as soon as I get a hold of two german infernal tutor's. :D

I am behid nedleeds here, I to dislike foils, ( I do like them if I play with singleton tutor targets, then I can find them quickly )

But I would prefer a full korean deck then a full foil one. I think the whole foil stuff just Looks cheap, "look at me, look at me, my cards glimmer, whiiie.

But the fact that everybody has an other opinion about what is cool and whatnot is what makes everything intresting.

That is pretty sweet. I too have seen a bunch of Japanese wastes some Korean also, rarely Chinese. I haven't burned on it too hard though. I'm headed to Taiwan in the fall it'll be interesting to see what I can trade for over there. The mighty Tower is a tough card in general to find in foreign. I also have an Italian one, if anyone has a Chinese tower let me know I'd be happy to swap that hot Japanese one for it. I purposely play my ancient basic beta lands because they look gnarled and veteran.

Have a cookie and stare at your foils some more, you'll feel better. Cards are worth peanuts compared to real life expenses was the point I was trying to make, I've mentioned multiple times how cool all the decks in this thread look.

Then again considering you get stuff signed by magic 'pros' maybe you have a different perspective on life then me. Either way it's fun to collect cards, whatever your tastes are.

Comparing sizes, whether it is cards or cars, is just for boosting s.o. ego.

But as this is a MtG-Board I would like to see more "pimped" Decks, because they really look great and the owners of these decks put a lot of effort in it. I also like to see decks, that are all white-bordered (I know some guy, who bleached the borderes of his newer cards and now has a white-bordered Tarmogoyfs etc.)

For me, I'm just getting started in "pimping" my Zoo-Deck, trying to finish it ill GP Amsterdam...

I don't want to rip on peoples cars or anything (I love cars), but in 2002 I bought a $25K car and put $25K into it. Today, the car is worth $10K. My Magic cards are worth about twice what they were worth in 2002. Just sayin'.

That's a good point. From a pure economic standpoint I'd have been better off cutting a check for some beta duals and driving a bucket for a couple of years :)

or buying more Chipotle stock ... that thing has performed better than any MTG last few years.

Christ no. Leasing a car is one of the worst economic moves any human can make. Leasing gets you into "more" car than you can afford but in the end leaves you with nothing, sometimes a bill (if you bogart your miles).

This is a moot point as its already something that's pretty obvious. Houses cost more than cars, cars cost more than cards etc... In fact a lot of things cost more than cards. So what? Additionally among car enthusiasts is 60K for a car even considered expensive? Also I find most lexuses (lexi?) don't even look that much different from their cheaper/lower specced toyota counterparts. Don't get me wrong the Lexus IS-F is an outstanding car mechanically, but it doesn't really scream pimp.

But yeah back to cards: I like German > French > Eng non-foils the best. Foils are w/e. German is the best because reading the text out loud as you play the cards always gets a ton of laughs.
