Chaos Reveler 6RR Creature - Devil Horror 3/4
Chaos Reveler costs 1 Mana less to play for each instant or sorcery card in your graveyard.
Prowess
When Chaos Reveler enters the battlefield discard your hand and draw three cards.
----
Burn is running 25-30 Instants/Sorcery - this is at least a one-of in that deck, right?
I like it, not sure I would play it though. When it's good it's great, but the main strength of Burn is its consistency. You don't want cards with a floor lower than Lava Spike.
I think it's too win more, Burn just wants to do one thing consistently and adding any inconsistency (sometimes you draw mostly creatures, this is slow, etc.) makes the deck worse. If you have 6 instants in your graveyard your opponent should be dead. I do think it's a strong card, maybe you could build a Modern deck that abuses it.
Its not a burn card. Its a card for UR Delver, which lacks any fat body previously to close out games
This card is pretty close to what cruise was in a ur delver deck, right?
This looks insane to me, hope I'm wrong
A good cardadvantagemachine (and a clock in one too!) that requires at least requires a hefty non-blue investment. Good work wizards. This will at least force the blue shell to add somewhat more red in its manabase.
This guy is unlikely to hit the table before turn 4 in burn and I think using graveyard cards on Become Immense fits the burn plan better.
Since it's an EtB trigger, I'm a little intrigued by blink effects like Eldrazi Displacer and Ghostly Flicker, but that's almost certainly too slow for legacy.
Is there a Blazing Shoal deck in legacy?
Edit: How well does this guy fit the aggro loam concept?
Not quite. The discard bit hopefully keeps them from hitting this on back-to-back turns, or even twice in the same turn. Double red is also pretty significant.
Also, Permeating Mass kills just about anything with Assault Formation, right? Deal 3 damage, you become a 1/3...
Good synergy with Thing In The Ice. Both want you casting instants/sorceries. TITI wants you to empty your hand, Reveler exploits that with a cost reduction. Check creature type... yep, it's a horror.
There might be a TITI Reveler deck in Modern.
Glissa, the Traitor seems better than this. She costs GGB instead of G, but is basically equivalent to the Ooze plus Rancor or Jitte or Sword of Fire and Ice. I'll take the cheaper, single-card combo; if the equipment are good enough to play on their own, they're even better on Glissa.
As noted, Baleful Strix seems much, much better than the new ooze, and Vampire Nighthawk keeps seeming almost good enough to play alongside Dark Confidants.
Chaos Reveler is nuts. Put aside the discard your hand part for the moment, and figure that we are going to be able to design a deck that can handle that situation even decently well, to the point that you can get down to one card consistently and zero on occasion...sort of a top-down method of looking at it.
The card is freakin' Treaure Cruise with a 3/4 body attached to it, only it does not actually remove any cards from the graveyard. So there is no non-repeatable cost associated with casting it. You do not get to use your dead creatures or fetchlands, so it is a bit slower, but seriously. WTF are they trying to do to us? They need a goddamned history lesson.
Also, the Permeating Mass is just the newest version of green wannabe creature removal. Nifty design. Not really playable. Ulvenwald Tracker does a better job because it is easier to manipulate. Nothing to see here.

That's quite the interesting effect. Basically a spell O-Ring.
In fact, you heard it here first:
Chaos Reveler is going to be the defining card of Legacy in six months, with respect to Brainstorm.

"I would like to discard this here Force of Will and Emrakul... Flusterstorm you say? Fuck."
(Combos great with Suffy Doll.)
