I'm not interested in killing opponents with G.S. or killing creatures X/Y+2 with TES. That's simple. Even as a Card To Side In is worse than whatever options we have available for a specific purpose...

i tend to agree. I haven't faced a situation which "required" Grapeshot for like 10 Months. For killing creatures we care for we have Pyroblast imo.
I've been very happy at dealing Gaddock Teeg with V.Snare, for the rest of HateBears, Massacre is the card. (I'm remembering that MasterCard TV Ad..., I'm not sure if you watched it!)
Even the other day I also was happy to kill Elves via Rite->Massacre, even when I didn't need to!.

well, the only creature that comes into my mind we care for and GS has an undoubtable edge against is Painter. Overall, I would not reduce Massacre to the D&T matchup as SFM still finds place in various decks as Canonists/Meddling Mages do ... Take Shardless BUG as an extreme example. Having an automatic edge once your opponent plays white is something to have in mind. I would reconsider the slot if Runed Halo or stuff suddenly gets played
Apart, what do you think about that New Card Bryant, if you like to answer...?
I agree with Lem on this.

funny what we currently seem to have a discussion about the purpose and the situations we might wanna use it :)
let's get this clear:
- You need to play V.Snare AND (Massacre OR Grapehot), other configurations seem to me nonsense.
@Bryant and @Lem:
Apart, well I need to say that the All Fetches Configuration by Lem and Bryant Side really impressed me, I'm not going to disagree or not by the moment, the only thing I'd like to know is:
- Have you made enough testing to be 100% sure to remove full Gemstones? there are
some maths involved behind this...

I never post stuff here without testing and doing the math and therefore I was talking about the 14 lands: it appears to be the softspot for going all dual/fetch. Atm I'm trying if 13 is unreasonable. TBH, in the matchups you want Decay, I still think the Tropical with 8 Fetches plus 4 Petals should work out in most cases with exceptions being MUD (here casting Decay once against Trinishphere or Chalice should be enough hopefully).
@Togores:
I'm really interested in the results vs those Miracles, I have no time, but I'll ellaborate my post better... My initial idea is 4 A.D 2 Nedle as I mentioned in my before posts, by here most of us agree. or at least Lem... In my Maths World the most beatufull thing is: thinking and reaching by separately the same conclusions as others (I could mention in here some Contemporary Great Minds but it's a secret I have to keep...!)! I think at least in here I got this with Bahamut, F.Fortune and Lem mainly! Sad to say not with Bryant..., maybe it's diff. meta. but you and me should reach the same conclusions my friend...[

i fear the approach with either 0 or 3-4 Decays depends a lot on the density of Miracles in your metagame and the builds in Detail. I stopped developing the Decay-less lists after I found myself struggling even with Needle on top. Against storm, Miracles pilots sculpt their hand either towards having Counterbalance and/or FoW in their grip after their first turn and it appears being a significant downside if you have no options to ever win a game dragged beyond turn 3. If you look at the Praque Eternal Video coverage, you can see that it is possible to grind out even Miracles while playing storm and therfore I'm testing configurations like +4 Decay, -3 Moxen, -1 EtW as core-boarding to see if we can grind out matches if we keep Counterbalance off the table so we can Ponder for more Decays or combo-pieces in the meanwhile.
