Creature - Merfolk Wizard Uncommon
When Augur of Bolas enters the battlefield, look at the top three cards from your library. You may reveal an instant or sorcery card from among them and put it into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.

How is this playable in a deck with ~10 instants/sorceries?
My deck runs
2 x Dismember
3 x Daze
4 x Force of Will
3 x Spell Snare
== 12 Mainboard, and
2 x Surgical Extraction
2 x Hydroblast
3 x Stifle
3 x Submerge
== 10 in the Sideboard
So for me, the card seams good enough to at least test. And as an Uncommon it will most likely be cheap enough to play with regardless. Hell for Modern it will have even more potential as I run more Instant/Sorceries in that format.

I think the land count is a bit low, probably i'll play 21 in the next tournament

+2 Umezawas Jitte / -2 Dismember (i'll put 3 in SB, but actually, i never like it in Merfolks... any other option?)
The SB seems a little outdated too
Has anyone thought of trying out Seasinger in the sideboard as tech against Sneak and Show, etc.? Wouldn't be bad as a one-of main-board anyhow. Could be fun with Merrow Reejery controlling the dynamic of combat, too.
This deck has enough to fight show and tell decks. I also never want to click my vial to 3 unless I have 2 reejerey in my hand.
Also, we run 2-3 phantasmal images anyways. And maybe another in the board.
Plenty to deal with sneak and show. I actually worry more about the RUG matchup and the maverick matchup

Sorry, but I've also been out of the discussion for a while, but has anyone tried Snapcaster Mage? I've never been happy with the Reejery and I'm looking at dropping him to set my curve at 2.

Yep, Lord of Atlantis #2 (actually, better since it doesn't buff opponents' Merfolk).

What do we take out for Master of the Pearl Trident? Reejerey or commander?
Merrow Reejerey utility is more than being a lord effect. Is the real reason Merfolk has not been posting results because it needed a better Lord of Atlantis?
There could also be a mana/casting cost problem. 40% of the deck's mana base can not produce blue mana. If the lord package shifts toward Lord of Atlantis, Master of the Pearl Trident and Coralhelm Commander, 100% of the deck's lord effects now require one to have UU to cast them (with Coralhelm still requiring an additional four mana investment). This makes hands without two Islands tricker to keep and pushes the deck's reliance on Aether Vial. Can Merfolk afford to keep a hand that contains a UU Lord one Islands and no Aether Vial?

4 Coursecatcher
4 Silvergill Adept(I honestly can't understand why you woul ever want Augur instead of Adept. Adept is probably the best card in the deck.)
4 Lord of Atlantis
4 Master of the Pearl Trident
4 Coralhelm Commander
4 Merrow Reejerey ( cutting it seems incredibly wrong, is super good vs Maverick, vs Batterskull, in the Mirror, vs any other creature based matchup)
Then you add the classic suite
4 Daze
4 Fow
4 Vial
2 Dismember a.k.a. the 2 flex slots: 2 Phantasmal Image or 2 Spell Pierce or 2 Jitte or 2 Kira or even 2 Stifle would be fine.
4 Wasteland
3 Mutavault (I'd cut the 4th since you play more UU stuff)
15 Island (I'm convinced you would want the 22nd land above any other 3rd flex slot, or above the 4th Mutavault, since more or less you never want to miss a land drop till turn 3, considering that you want to use Wasteland aggresively).
FWIW, I'm probably going to re buy Merfolk tonight. The new LoA makes this archetype really strong and it could shine again.
